Parcels & Petals

Hello and Happy Tuesday! I’m so happy you stopped by to have a look around. I have a couple of fun projects to share with you featuring the Parcels & Petals Stamp set. I’m really loving the versatility of this stamp set and the coordinating dies.
First, let’s talk about this card. I got my inspiration from Klompinstamer with this great fun fold. It allows you to showcase both sides of the amazing Designer Series Paper. How often have you agonized over which side to show and which to”hide”?
To create this card, you will need a piece of DSP (Designer Series Paper)  measuring 5 1/2” x 12”. I used a piece from the Garden Lane collection. Then you will score at 1 3/4”; 4 3/4” and 7 3/4”. To create the fold, mountain fold the 7 3/4” score; valley fold the 4 3/4” score line and mountain fold the 1 3/4” score line. I then cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock 4” x 5 1/4” and stamped my sentiment and the small leaf image from the Parcels & Petals Stamp set in Garden Green and then adhered the panel to the inside of the card base created with the DSP.

Then, using Mint Macaron ink, I stamped the large cluster of petals onto a piece of Whisper White
that I had die cut using the Stitched Nested Labels Dies. I then die cut the word Happy from the Well Written dies from Pear Pizzazz cardstock and adhered that the the Label. I then stamped “For You” in Garden Green from the Well Said Stamp set. I layered that to a die cut piece of Pear Pizzazz and this was adhered to the card front.
For the coordinating gift bag, I used a full sheet of Mint Macaron cardstock, measuring 8 1/2” x 11”. I scored the 11” side at 2”; 5”; 7” and 10”; turn to the 8 1/2” side and score at 2” and 7”.  Now, on 11” sides, cut up the score lines to the intersecting line. Then one of the 11” sides, choose one of the widest tabs to be your bag back, then remove all of the tabs but that one. You may round the corners of this tab if so choose. Stamp the large trio of petal in Mint Macaron ink randomly over the bag. Then add adhesive, preferably Tear & Tape, to the large tab created on the side and close the box/ bag side. Then seal up the bottom.
To create the tag, cut a piece of Whisper White 2” x 3” and die cut the top with the tag topper die
found in the Parcels & Petals die collection and randomly stamp the large trio of petals in Mint Macaron Along with the sentiment and add to the bag with Whisper White Bakers Twine.

I hope these projects inspire you to give them a try. Feel free to leave a comment and if you enjoyed these tutorials and would like to receive more direct to your inbox, join my mailing list

Free As A Bird Fun Fold

Hello and Happy Tuesday to ya! Hubby is on vaca this week so it's been a busy few day's with him home. Next week we will both be on vaca from our day jobs and that will be a first in a VERY long time and boy will Tucker be one happy little puppy! He's a totally different little dog when both of his peeps are home with him. He has terrible separation anxiety the poor little bugger. He loves company, but he looses his mind when they're about to leave. We often wonder if he decides they are "his personal toys" because, trust me, he doesn't like you to touch "HIS" stuff! No, he's not "mean" in the sense that he bites, but he will "snatch" his toy's from you hand like "no, that's mine and don't TOUCH IT!" Good thing he's so stinkin' cute!
Anyway, today's card is from Sunday's Facebook Live featuring the Free As A Bird stamp set and I promised, dimensions and instructions would follow here. So, here they are so that you can recreate this card and the supply list can be found below. This card uses a fun fold fold. I'm not even sure what this fold is called, so if any of you out there know what fold this is, please let me know...inquiring minds want to know!
To begin, you will need a card base of Daffodil Delight cut 4 1/4" x 11" scored at 2 1/4" and 7". Fold and burnish your score lines and using the Layering Circles dies. Add a piece of Bird Ballad DSP measuring 2" x 4" to the top flap. Then,  I used the die that came closest to 2 1/2" and die cut it by centering it over the 2 1/4" fold line off to the right of the card. I then die cut another piece of scrap Daffodil Delight using the same die. I layered a piece of Bird Ballad DSP cut 4" x 3 3/4"on the outside panel created by the 7" fold and a piece of Whisper White cut the same size to the inside of the flap.
Die cut another circle in Petal Pink and stamp the single bird in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and color the bird in with your Stampin' Blends, I used Soft Suede and Petal Pink with a little Daffodil Delight for his beak. Then die cut with the next smaller Layering Circle die. Stamp "Hello" from the stamp set using the Memento Tuxedo Black ink and layer all the circles together. Close up the card, add adhesive to the exposed area and adhere the die cut image. You now have a fun fold card.
I love coloring with my Blends, they are so easy to use and whether you're into blending or not, these markers make you look like you know what you're doing. So, don't shy away from them. The price point for them is amazing. If you check the Big Box stores for alcohol markers, they are as much as $7-$9 a marker on sale. Blends are $9 for the duo! Hellooooo? You can't beat that!
Well, I hope you enjoyed today's card. Thanks so much for stopping by to check it out and hang out with me. Be sure to stop by Thursday, I will have all the information on the Flip Fold card from Sunday then. Again, thanks so much for stopping by, have a great day and Happy Stamping,

Birthday Cheer Pop Up Card

Hello and good morning! I'm so glad you could join me today! I have a really fun card to share with you. I saw Ronda Wade create a pop up card like this last week and I knew I had to give it a try using the Birthday Cheer bundle. I just love this bundle as it is the PERFECT birthday set as just looking at it invokes a smile and a feeling of fun and excitement....all those feelings a birthday should create.
The Designer Series Paper is from the How Sweet It Is collection found in the 2019 Occasions catalog. I love the bright colors in this paper along with the sweet, fun designs. Here my colors are Coastal Cabana, Mellon Mambo and Whisper White; but what makes this card so special is the inside. When the recipient opens this card, they are greeted with a sweet and unexpected surprise! Upon opening this fun card, 4 sweet cupcakes pop out! To color these sweet cupcakes, I used my Blender pens and ink pads then added some clear Wink of Stella for a little shimmer and shine. I love that stuff and can never get enough of it.
If you would like to view the dimensions and watch as I make this card, just watch the replay of my live video at http://bit.ly/2EgQYdr.
Oh, and while I'm thinking of it, Stampin' Up! has added a few more items to Sale-a-bration, you can check those out here in the newly released flyer @  http://bit.ly/2DQnSQx

Well, that's all for today. Have a terrific Tuesday my friends, until next time, Happy Stamping,
