Hey there, thanks for stopping by, and if you're following the blog hop, you're in for a treat. We have lots of talented demonstrators showcasing some great stuff today, and I am sharing with you the Big on Birthdays stamp set with a masculine twist. I love to see how many ways I can stretch a stamp set and this one is more of a feminine design and I decided to see if I could make a masculine birthday card from it using the retiring Warmth and Cheer Designer Series paper stack. I love this paper and as a bonus, it happens to be on the Year End Closeout list so now is the time to stock up on it if you love it as much as I do.
Supplies:
Stamp Set: Big on Birthdays
Ink:Early Espresso
Paper: Early Espresso; Whisper White; Crumb Cake; Warmth and Cheer DSP Stack
Tools:Big Shot; Festive TIEF; Birthday Pop Up Thinlits Dies; Fast Fuse; Fine Tip glue
Directions:
Start with a card base of Early Espresso, cut 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored and folded at 4 1/4". Cut a piece of Whisper White 5 1/4" x 4" and stamp the Happy Birthday at the very top with Early Espresso ink and with Fast Fuse, adhere this to the card base. Cut a piece of Crumb Cake 3 3/4" x 2 1/4" and run it through the Big Shot with the Festive TIEF and adhere this to the bottom portion of the card and cut the bow and ribbon from scrap Crumb Cake with the dies from the Birthday Pop Up Thinlits. Cut a piece of the DSP 2"x 2 3/4" and adhere that to the center of the embossed Crumb Cake piece and add the die cut ribbon and bow with the Fine Tip glue.
I'm really happy with how this card turned out. I hope you like it too. Please leave a comment below as I look forward to hearing your thoughts and be sure to continue following the links through the Blog Hop. I appreciate you stopping by and everyone else will too.
Happy Stamping,
Katrina
