More Brusho Watercolor Crystals with the Butterfly Beauty Thinlits

Good Morning and Happy Thursday! It's early morning here in CNY, we're beginning to warm up a bit since the last time we "talked". And yes, my voice is beginning to improve. Still a bit raspy but I'm able get the words out. Forward progress right?

Anyhoo, I have another card using Brusho today. I've had fun this week playing with it. In this card, I used the "smooshing" technique where I sprinkled the color crystals onto my craft mat then spritzed them with water creating little puddles of color. I then took my Shimmery White cardstock and "smooshed" it into the ink. Once I was happy with the coverage, I used my heat tool to dry the ink so that I could adhere it to the front of my Night of Navy card base.
I then ran a piece of the Sale-a-bration Grapefruit Grove through the Big Shot with the Butterfly thinlit and a piece of Night of Navy with the other. I then layered the 2 butterfly pieces together using a little Snail adhesive then adhered them to the card front. This really was a quick and simple card to make and I truly enjoyed playing with my Brusho.

Until next time, stay warm and have a great day,
Happy Stamping,

Humming Along with Brusho Watercolor Crystals

Hello and Happy Tuesday! Holy FRIGID Tuesday too! It seems here in the Northeast we have plunged into an arctic blast! We got clobbered with a bit of snow, well, ok, a lot of snow over the weekend and now arctic air has taken over with wind chills of -25 and less. Makes me very grateful to have a warm fire to sit by as I write this, especially since I have a nice case of laryngitis to go along with a nice chest cold. Although, I think hubby may be enjoying my laryngitis a little too much?
Anyhoo, I have a fun card to share with you. It features a the gorgeous Sale-a-bration paper, Grapefruit Grove Foil sheets and some awesome Brusho Watercolor Crystals.

These foil sheets are amazing on their own, however, run through an embossing folder really makes them pop. Here I used the brand new Lace embossing folder found in the 2019 Occasions catalog. It's attached to a Thick Whisper White card base after I wrapped it with the Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon. I then layered a Whisper White oval cut with the Stitched Shapes dies onto a scalloped oval cut from Grapefruit Grove cardstock using the Layering Ovals Collection. For the flower and the Humming Bird, I stamped these images onto Shimmery White cardstock using Stazon Jet Black ink. I then colored in the flower with Brusho Watercolor Crystals using my Aquapainter. I diluted the color first and then painted in the flower. For the Humming Bird, I saturated the image with water from my Aquapainter, then sprinkled the color on, I then used my mister to move the color around a bit. I then dried both images with my heat tool and die cut them out using the coordinating die set. Both images were popped up using Stampin' Dimensionals and I was very generous with those Dimensionals to ensure the images didn't have any areas that would sag or "flop". Brusho Watercolor Crystals are a lot of fun to work with. There are so many ways to use them. Just pull them out and start playing with them and have fun!

#SimpleStamping Beauty Abounds

Good Morning and Happy Thursday! I'm so glad you could come by and visit with me today. Wow, what's the weather like in your neck of the woods? It's brutally cold here in CNY. -6 degrees F० to be exact.
Anyway, today I wanted to share some simple stamping with you or #simplestamping, using the beautiful Beauty Abounds stamp set. This stamp set happens to be the stamp set I received in November at OnStage as a Prize Patrol! And I just LOVE it. And this card is so simple. First of all, the card is a simple Whisper White note card. These come in a package of 20 with envelopes making them a super amazing deal. Then I pulled out my Blackberry Bliss ink and went to town.
I began by stamping the large flourish, added the butterfly and finally the sentiment. This card was so quick and so simple and I just love it. I plan to make a bunch of these up (will take me just a few minutes) and send them out to a bunch of friends I haven't talked to in awhile, just to say hello and let them know I am thinking of them and care for them. Who wouldn't love to get a simple handmade card in the mail letting you know someone is thinking of you?
So, don't be intimidated by stamping. It's as simple as ink, paper and stamps. So my challenge to you, grab a package of note cards, an ink pad in your favorite color and the Beauty Abounds stamp set and make a bunch of these cards and send to your friends and family you want to know you are thinking of them.

Happy Stamping,

I'm just Ape over the Hey Love Stamp Set - Aren't You?

Hello and Happy Snowy and blustery Thursday! Mother Nature seems to have unleashed her snowy furry upon us; but I have a really cute card to share with you using the adorable Hey Love stamp set from the new 2019 Occasions Catalog.
Is he not the cutest? I stamped my cute little Ape onto a scrap Whisper White with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored him in with my Light and Dark Smoky Slate Stampin' Blend markers and for the heart, I used the dark Real Red Stampin' Blend marker and punched him out using the 2" Circle Punch and attached it to a piece of Night of Navy that was punched out using the Starburst punch. The card base is Balmy Blue cut 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored and folded at 4 1/4". I added a panel of Smoky Slate cute 3 1/2" x 4 3/4" and adhered that to the card base. I then cut a scrap of Real Red cardstock using the Stitched Rectangles and added that to the card front with adhesive. I then added the Ape with Stampin' Dimensionals. I then stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy ink and punched it out using the 1" circle punch and added it to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals. I just love this stamp set. It's fun and perfect if you have school age children or grandchildren that need to have Valentines to share with their classmates. The images in this set will just melt your heart and the heart of any of their recipients.

Happy Stamping,
