A "Yummy Little Christmas" Treat

Hi there! I know I don't typically post on a Monday, but I didn't want you to miss out on the last day of the Online Extravaganza so I thought I would get this post up for you and I wanted to show this adorable little treat holder using the Yummy Little Christmas stamp set that is on sale right now, but that sale ends today!

To create this adorable little treat holder, you will need a piece of DSP cut 5" x 5". Line it up on the envelope punch board at the 2" mark and punch and score, turn a half turn and line up at the 3" mark and punch and score, turn a half turn and line up at the 2" and punch and score, then finally turn a half turn and line up at 3" again, punch and score. Fold and burnish 3 of the score lines, leaving one of the short score lines unfolded and burnished. This will be the top of your treat holder. Adhere the 3 flaps using Snail adhesive.
Using Crumb Cake ink, ink up the utensil "wheel" stamp, stamp off onto scrap paper and then stamp the image onto the Whisper White cardstock, then ink up the "Indulge A Little" stamp  with Real Red ink and stamp into the center of the utensil "wheel". Punch this image out using the 1 1/4" circle punch. I also punched out a scalloped circle using the retired 1 3/4" scalloped circle punch and I punched a scrap piece of Real Red cardstock using the 1 3/8" circle punch. I layered the pieces using snail adhesive and attached it to the envelope using a Stampin' Dimensional.

A Great Way to Present a Gift Card

Happy Saturday! I truly hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving. I did, now I am contemplating putting up my  Christmas tree today...what do you think? Too early? Nah, I think I just might do it!
Anyway, today I wanted to share with you a cute way to present a gift card. I don't know about you, but I really hate giving gift cards. I know they are practical because the recipient gets to pick out what they want and need, but at the same time, it feels like it is so impersonal, but sometimes it's the only way to go and for those times, I like to dress them up to present them. So here is just one cute way to do just that.

To create this gift card holder, stamp the Merry Christmas from the Hang Your Stocking Bundle in Real Red onto the Kraft bag and run through the Dynamic Cable Knit embossing folder. Then cut a piece of Whisper White 4 3/8" x 6 5/8" and to stamp the B.Y.O.P., I placed the gift card where I wanted it in order to properly place my stamped image and using Real Red ink, I stamped the B.Y.O.P. and then "buy your own present" at the bottom. I adhered that to a panel of Real Red cardstock cut 4 1/2" x 6 3/4" using Snail adhesive. (I used a temporary adhesive to hold the gift card in place). Then, to finish the bag, I stamped the stocking image onto scrap whisper white and cut it out using the coordinating die and the Big Shot. I also cut the "hoop" and adhered that to the stocking using a glue dot and placed the stocking onto the bag using Stampin' Dimensionals and wrapped a piece of the Real Red and White bakers twine (I ran it through the "hoop" of the stocking) and tied it into a bow. And that finished off my gift card holder.

So, what do you think? I love to hear what you think, so please leave your comments below and thank you for stopping by and having a look.
Happy Stamping,
Katrina

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving! Although it looks a little more like Christmas with all of the snow that fell...4 1/2 feet to be exact, there is certainly is much to be thankful for. Hubby has to work today so I plan to spend the day with my mom and dad and I am so looking forward to turkey dinner. My favorite is mom's stuffing! YUM! What's your favorite Thanksgiving dish?
Today's card uses the new dynamic embossing folder, Cable Knit as the focal point. I truly love this new folder as it has so much dimension to it. Can we say AWESOME! (Just a little hint...there will be another Dynamic Embossing folder coming in the new Occasion's Catty) sshhh, don't tell!

So, again, leave me your thoughts and next month I will be getting the new Occasions' Catalog out to you. If you have placed an order with me in the past year, you will automatically receive a catalog from me, if not and you would like a catalog, please e mail me and I will get one out to you as soon as they are available to send.

Happy Stamping,
Katrina

Oh What Fun!

Weel, happy Tuesday! I hope this finds you well. We are in the process of digging our way out of this incredible snow storm that hit us here in Central NY. We ended up with a grand total of about 4 feet! Amazing...we didn't get this much snow all winter last year! Oh well, I guess "thems the breaks" right? Anyway, here is a card I put together and wanted to share. Again, this came from a sketch challenge taking place on my Facebook page (feel free to join us any time)

This was a fun card to put together. I just love this DSP stack from the holiday catalog and the pop of gold glimmer just set it off. What are your thoughts? I would love to hear what you think, so please leave a comment below. In the meantime, enjoy your day whether you are basking in the warm sun or digging your way out of a snow bank.
Happy Stamping,
Katrina
