Let's Celebrate!

Hi there! Well since my goodies arrived Thursday, I have been spending lots of time in my craft room playing with all these goodies, so today, I want to share with you a great card for any celebration, whether it be a birthday or anniversary or even a graduation card if you change up and use school colors.
What a fun card! I love Calypso Coral and Old Olive together, they just pop with the Basic Black as an accent color. It was fun to make and will be even more fun to give.
I'm still prepping for my open house/catalog launch party. It's going to be so much fun. I will be sure to share pictures of the event. In the meantime, happy stamping until next time,
Katrina

A Little Timeless Elegance and Hostess Rewards

Hi there! Happy Tuesday! Have you had an opportunity to look over that retirement list? If not, don't wait too much longer. Lots of stuff has already begun to sell out. I missed out on stocking up on Crystal Effects. I love that stuff, not only is it a great glue, but it is also great for creating the look of glass and adds dimension and shine to projects. Anyhoo, you can see the retiring products here.  And right now, I have a party open and if we reach $150 in sales, the Hostess Rewards will be up for grabs! I will close the party next week on 5/5/2016 at 4pm. If our grand total before shipping and tax is $150 or greater, I will place everyone that placed an order in for a drawing to receive the hostess rewards and I will contact you to find out what free products you would like to use your hostess rewards for.We are only $50 away from earning those hostess rewards...soooo, there is a pretty good chance someone will get those rewards and it might just as well be you, right? To qualify, just place an order of any amount through my on-line store using the Hostess Code: T9Q4A39S

Anyway, my project today takes a little twist on the basic Black and White card simplicity. Instead of white, how about Very Vanilla? In this card, the DSP I used is from the Timeless Elegance Designer Series paper. Isn't it gorgeous? I just love this paper.
I used the lacy look paper and the stamp set I used is Choose Happiness. Both of these are on the retirement list and I am so sad to see them go. Once again, one of those go to sets that I reach for again and again. But, as they say, all good things must come to an end right?
Well here is the card:
So what are your thoughts? What retiring set are you sad to see go? Leave me a comment below and let me know. And don't forget about the chance to win Hostess Rewards. Just place an order of any amount to qualify using the Hostess Code: T9Q4A39S
In the meantime, Happy Stamping,
Katrina

A Quick and Easy Easter Card

Hello! Wow, time sure is flying! Easter is just around the corner already! Where does all that time go anyway? Well, today, I have a cute Easter Card to share with you using the adorable Sale-a-Bration set, Honeycomb Hello. I just love this little chick! I think it’s just adorable and such a diverse set! You can use it for a cute “just saying hello” card, a baby card or an Easter card, it’s fitting for birthday cards or any celebration for that matter! It’s one of those sets; you will reach for again and again. Unfortunately, after 3/31/16, it will be gone forever. To get one for yourself, all you need to do is place an order for $50 before shipping and tax and you can select this very set as your free Sale-a-Bration item.

Honeycomb Hello Stamp set
Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp set
Blushing Bride CS 8½” x 5½”
Love Blossoms DSP 3¾” x 5”
Wisteria Wonder CS 4”x 5¼” and 3¼” x 4½””
Whisper White CS 3” x 4¼”
Large Oval Punch
Word Window Punch
Basic Black Archival Ink pad
Daffodil Delight Ink pad
Tangerine Tango Ink pad
Blender Pens

Begin by stamping your image onto the Whisper White cardstock with the Basic Black Archival ink and color it in using the blender pens and ink. Layer the Whisper White piece onto the smaller Wisteria Wonder, punch the oval from the larger piece of Wisteria Wonder, then adhere the DSP to that and layer that onto the card base. Then add the stamped image to the card base layers at an angle using Dimensionals.  Stamp Happy Easter from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set onto scrap Whisper White cs and punch it out using the Word Window punch and adhere it to the Lrg oval punched Wisteria Window and attach with Dimensionals; and there you have it! A quick and easy Easter card.
Happy Stamping,

It's a Collage of Color

Hello, today, I have a card for you that I made for the weekly sketch challenge going on over on my Facebook page and wanted to share. Once again, I ventured outside my usual Subtle colors that I naturally gravitate to, and came up with this. So, what do you think?

Supplies Used:

Basic Black 8 ½” x 5 ½” scored at 4 ¼” and folded for the card base.

Botanicals Garden DSP panel cut 2 ¾”x 5”

Basic Black layer cut 3 ¼”x 4 ¾”

Botanical Gardens DSP cut 3”x 4 ½” (I just turned over the DSP and used the backside of the same 12”x12” I had already cut for the 1st layer)

Basic Black layer cut 2 ¾”x 3 ¾”

Whisper White layer cut 2 ½”x 3 ½”

Basic Black cut 3 ¼”x 1 ¼”

Whisper White layer cut 3”x 1”

Scrap Whisper White to stamp and punch flowers from

Beautiful Bunch Stamp set

Butterfly Basics Stamp set

Petite Petals punch

Candy Dots (Neutral Collection)

Cajun Craze Ink

Mossy Meadow

Hello Honey

Snail Adhesive

Glue Dots

Stampin’ Dimensionals

I began by adhering the yellow pattern of the Botanicals Garden DSP to the right of the card base using Snail adhesive. I then took the second piece of the DSP and adhered that to the Basic Black layer and adhered that to the center of the card, then, I inked up the Honeycomb image from the Butterfly Basics stamp set, using Hello Honey ink, and I stamped off then stamped it onto my Whisper White panel. I did that a total of 3 times to fill the panel. I then used the fern image, also from the Butterfly Basics stamp set with Mossy Meadow ink. I stamped down with full ink then without lifting the bottom of the stem, I slightly pivoted the stamp getting a lighter and lighter effect. Then, using the Cajun Craze ink and the small flower from the Beautiful Bunch stamp set, I stamped a total of 3 images on to scrap Whisper White and punched them out using the Petite Petals punch and added them to the panel using glue dots and adhered the panel to the Basic Black layer and adhered that to the right side of the card again using Snail. I then stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Butterfly Basics stamp set with the Cajun Craze ink and adhered it to the Basic Black layer and adhered that to the bottom of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals and added three Basic Black candy dots.

I hope you enjoyed this card, please leave me a comment and let me know your thoughts. Have a wonderful day and see you Thursday!

Stippled Masking

Hello!
I hope everyone is staying warm in this deep freeze we're having! Good grief, today was the coldest day of the year so far, and I really hope it remains the coldest day of the year. -20 wind chill today and I think I about froze myself when I went out for a bit to meet up with some friends for a fun afternoon of painting. Which brings me to the conclusion that I need to stick with stamping! lol What do you think?
My master piece lol I will say it was a lot of fun and I will suggest that if you ever get the opportunity to do something like this, go ahead and try it. You can just have fun with it and be prepared to laugh at yourself. well at least that's what I did. I own the fact that I'm a stamper, not a painter!

Anyhoo, I have a tutorial to share with you and I made my very first video tutorial EVER! Making the video, not too bad, editing the video, I have lots to learn! I hope I don't bore you too much, but this card did turn out pretty cute. I hope you like it. It uses the soon to be retired Sky is the Limit stamp set. This is a sale-a-bration stamp set that goes away Tuesday 2/16! Not to worry, Stampin' Up! has some great replacements for it, however, you won't want to miss out on this one. Please leave me a comment below and let me know what you think of today's card and the video tutorial and thanks so much for stopping by and watching.
Have a great day!
