Sealed with a Kiss!

Hey guys! Happy Saturday! I hope you are all enjoying your day. I am having a very productive day, not so much in the craft room, but around the house. I actually have my laundry done...and that includes my ironing! I know, it probably sounds pretty silly to some of you, but you see, I hate laundry and I especially HATE ironing! Most of the time, I procrastinate my ironing until the basket can't hold any more and I'm forced to get it done...but I only had about 5 articles of clothing that needed ironing and I decided to just git r' done! And it actually looks pretty spiffy around here. My other BIG accomplishment today, was getting all of my business receipts from 2016 in order. I did really good until August, then well, procrastination bit and they started piling up. But, I'm back on track and my 2017 New Year resolution is to stay organized in my business and around the house. That is the other thing I hate....disorganization. It makes me crazy. So, for my own sanity, this is my resolution. Lets see how well I do!

Anyhoo, I have a cute card for you today. I actually did this for the sketch challenge over on my FB page, and I am pretty pleased with how it came out. I just love this stamp set!
Supplies:
Stamp Set: Sealed with Love
Paper: Whisper White 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored and folded 4 1/4"; Real Red 4" x 5 1/4"; Falling in Love DSP 3 7/8" x 5 1/8" cut off 2" for the bottom piece and trim off 1/4" from the top piece; scrap Whisper White for the stamped image and 1" piece for the banner; scrap DSP 1" wide for banner and scrap Real Red 1" wide for banner
Ink: Real Red
Misc: Sending Love Ribbon pack; Banner Triple Punch; Big Shot; Stitched Shapes Framelits; Fast Fuse; Stampin' Dimensionals.

Directions:
Adhere DSP pieces to Real Red, leaving a 1/4" gap between them. Wrap with ribbon from the Sending Love Ribbon pack and tie into a bow. Adhere this all down to the card base. Next, stamp the Sealed with a Kiss sentiment onto scrap Whisper White and stamp the lip image all in Real Red ink. Run this through the Big Shot with the largest circle framelit in the Stitched Shapes Framelit collection. Adhere this to the top of the card with a couple of Stampin' Dimensionals. Finally, banner one end of the 1" scrap pieces of cardstock, and trim them to stagger in length and adhere them down using Fast Fuse even with the top of the bottom DSP layer.

Yes, it was that quick and easy! Thank you so much for stopping by to take a look. Please leave me a comment and let me know your thoughts. Have a great rest of you day and Happy Stamping,
Katrina

Out with the Old and In with the New Blog Hop

Hey there, thanks for stopping by, and if you're following the blog hop, you're in for a treat. We have lots of talented demonstrators showcasing some great stuff today, and I am sharing with you the Big on Birthdays stamp set with a masculine twist. I love to see how many ways I can stretch a stamp set and this one is more of a feminine design and I decided to see if I could make a masculine birthday card from it using the retiring Warmth and Cheer Designer Series paper stack. I love this paper and as a bonus, it happens to be on the Year End Closeout list so now is the time to stock up on it if you love it as much as I do.

Supplies:
Stamp Set: Big on Birthdays
Ink:Early Espresso
Paper: Early Espresso; Whisper White; Crumb Cake; Warmth and Cheer DSP Stack
Tools:Big Shot; Festive TIEF; Birthday Pop Up Thinlits Dies; Fast Fuse; Fine Tip glue

Directions:

Start with a card base of Early Espresso, cut 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored and folded at 4 1/4". Cut a piece of Whisper White 5 1/4" x 4" and stamp the Happy Birthday at the very top with Early Espresso ink and with Fast Fuse, adhere this to the card base. Cut a piece of Crumb Cake 3 3/4" x 2 1/4" and run it through the Big Shot with the Festive TIEF and adhere this to the bottom portion of the card and cut the bow and ribbon from scrap Crumb Cake with the dies from the Birthday Pop Up Thinlits. Cut a piece of the DSP 2"x 2 3/4" and adhere that to the center of the embossed Crumb Cake piece and add the die cut ribbon and bow with the Fine Tip glue.

I'm really happy with how this card turned out. I hope you like it too. Please leave a comment below as I look forward to hearing your thoughts and be sure to continue following the links through the Blog Hop. I appreciate you stopping by and everyone else will too.

Happy Stamping,

Exciting Happenings at SnS From the Heart

Hey there, can you believe 2016 is almost over? I can't, it seems to have flown by, but it looks like for many, not fast enough. I was looking on Facebook this morning and saw a "Tribute to all we have lost in 2016" and wow! So many famous names, with the latest being Carrie Fisher (aka Princess Leia) and now her mom, Debbie Reynolds. So sad for sure. But, on a happier note, with the end of 2016 comes the Year End Clearance sale! You still have a few days left to take advantage of the this great sale.

I also have some exciting things happening here at SnS From the Heart that I want to share with you. First of all, I am participating in a Blog Hope with 18 other very talented demonstrators tomorrow night, the hop goes live at 8pm EST. and all you will need to do is follow the link at the bottom of each post to take you to the next one in line. Talk about some GREAT, AWESOME ideas from the new Occasions catalog mixed in with some of our favorites that will be leaving us in a few days.
Second exciting happening, I am offering my first ever Class to Go by mail! Be watching for my newsletter in the next couple of days which will contain all of the details. And if you aren't already on my newsletter, be sure to sign up. It's easy, just add your information over to the right of the screen and you will be added. You will also receive a free tutorial just for signing up. In addition, along with news and announcements in my newsletters, I include free downloadable tutorials and goodies. So, don't miss out. But this Class to Go has me so excited. It includes the Stamp set Work of Art, 5 ink pads and all of the materials needed for creating 2 each of 4 different designs. It also includes the PDF written instructions for each card design (there will also be a bonus PDF for a 5th card design) and a video tutorial for each. You will get all of this for just $77 and this includes shipping everything to you. I have pre-selected the ink pads, however, if you already have any of the colors, substitutions are available, you will just need to let me know when you register for the class which colors you would like. If you already happen to have this awesome stamp set, I have an option for you as well, you can purchase just the PDF and video instructions for $30, that's a total of 5 PDF written instructions and 4 videos for $30. Again, watch your email over the next couple of days for all the details.
So, what do you think? Are you excited? I know I am and I hope to bring many more classes to you just like this one. Leave me a comment below and let me know your thoughts.

Making Merry Mermories

Happy Tuesday! I hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas surrounded by those who mean most to you. Mine was near perfect except hubby had to work but I got to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas day with my parents who made sure I was very spoiled; but I did miss hubby. I also got to spend a few hours with my husbands family on Christmas Eve and watched the little great niece and nephews open their gifts. That was awesome, to watch their excited faces. That made Christmas right there.

Here’s Tucker sporting his holiday attire. Is he not the cutest? Can you tell just how happy he is in this photo? He sure knows how to make a mama laugh. This is what memories are made from, and I do plan to add this to my Project Life album. He too was very spoiled between mommy and daddy and Gamma and Gampa, he ended up with a boat load of new toys. I had to start a second toy box from him. But he sure does love his toys. I have never had a dog that loved toys as much as this little guy.

Speaking of Project Life, have you tried it yet? What a great way to document life events with ease! Just drop your photos into the pocket pages and added decorative cards, a little journaling to tell the story behind the photo and you're done! It couldn't be any easier. I don't know about you, but I just don't have the time in my schedule to do traditional scrapbooking, so this is an excellent alternative.

Well as you know, I hosted a little give away here for my birthday celebration last week, and I did a drawing for a winner, and that winner is Robin G! Congrats Robin, you will be receiving a pack of the Party Animal embellishments. I hope you love them as much as I do. I think they will make awesome card jewelry!

Have a great day and Happy Stamping,
Katrina
