More Perched in a Tree Ideas for You

Well, I'm back! Oh what a day! Of course it started out like any other day, however, on my way to work, I was detoured off my normal route due to road construction into Amish Country and at the same time a cow managed to get loose from his pen/pasture and lo and behold, I hit a cow! I'm still in shock! I have had encounters with deer before, but never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would hit a COW!!! Anyhoo, to make a long story short, I'm ok, my Jeep, not so much, She got a flat bed ride to the collision repair shop and I have a rental. It's nice (Honda CRV) but it's just not my baby!

Perched in a Tree Pool Party

So, here is the latest card I made featuring the Perched in a Tree bundle. I love how this card came out.

Create a Snowy Background with Emboss Resist Technique

Emboss Resist Perched in a tree

I fell in love with the Perched in a Tree stamp and die set and when I saw the die cut Aspen tree I envisioned a snowy background behind it, so I set out to create just that. Of course the stamp set contains the perfect "speckle" stamp so by creating an emboss resist background using clear embossing powder then Starry Sky ink blended over the clear embossed "speckle", I had my snowy background.

Emboss resist is one of those techniques we tend to forget about but it can be a real handy technique to have in your arsenal of stamping techniques. Be sure to check out the replay of my Facebook Live if you'd like to see how it's done. It's so easy and can really pack a punch on your card. I LOVE the Starry Sky here with the Basic White. I just looks so pretty together. I will definitely try this one again.
