Cute Get Well Cards with the Stampin' Up! Ouch Bundle: 3 Easy Card Ideas to Brighten Someone's Day

 Have you ever needed a card for a friend, family member, or co-worker who could use a little encouragement, but wanted something more fun than the typical flowers and sentiments? This week's Stampin' Sunday projects were exactly that!

As soon as I saw the Ouch Bundle, the nurse in me immediately fell in love. After years of handing out Band-Aids in healthcare, I couldn't resist turning them into adorable handmade cards. The best part? These cards are quick, cheerful, and perfect for sending a smile when someone needs it most.

Create a Colorful Background with Simple Stamping


Our first card features a playful background made entirely from the Band-Aid stamp.

Instead of reaching for designer paper, I created my own custom pattern using four beautiful colors:

  • Crisp Cantaloupe
  • Golden Glow
  • Peaceful Pine
  • Hydrangea Hue

The trick is simple: stamp the Band-Aid outlines first, then stamp the solid image inside using the "stamp-off" technique. This creates a softer look and adds depth without requiring any special tools.

A simple "Feel Better Soon" sentiment and a few coordinating embellishments finish the card perfectly.

The "Ouch" Card That Stole the Show


If I had to pick a favorite project from this week's live, it would definitely be the "Ouch" card!

This card combines:

  • Embossed texture
  • Die-cut Band-Aids
  • Mini Alphabet dies
  • A bold focal point

The Band-Aids were stamped, colored with Stampin' Blends, then die cut using the coordinating dies. By layering them over a stitched die-cut shape and adding the word "OUCH" in large letters, the card becomes playful, fun, and impossible not to smile at.

One of my favorite tips from this project was varying the coloring on each Band-Aid. Using light and dark shades creates subtle differences that make the design more interesting.

Add Texture and Dimension with the "Be Brave" Card


Our third project showcases another fun way to use the Band-Aid dies.

For this card, I created a textured panel using the Simply Scored tool. By scoring every 1/8 inch along one side of the cardstock, it creates the appearance of corrugated texture without needing an embossing folder.

After adding linen thread and a simple bow, I layered several die-cut Band-Aids in different colors and patterns around the "Be Brave" sentiment.

The result is a card that feels encouraging, uplifting, and just plain cute.

Quick Tip

Don't be afraid to mix:

  • Solid cardstock Band-Aids
  • Stamped Band-Aids
  • Patterned paper Band-Aids

Combining all three creates visual interest while keeping the design cohesive.
