Leaves of Holly Elegance Meets Easy

Leaves of Holly

 Hello friends,

Sorry for going missing these past few days, but time has a way of getting away. I am still dealing with the aftermath of hitting a cow. I had to return my rental as my time had run out but I still don't have my car back yet, so lucky for me, I have an amazing team that I work with in the Nursing Home so I am able to work remotely from home...but the bright spot in ALL of that messiness, I got a new internet provider and OMG! I knew my old internet was slow, but it turns out it was snail slow! My new internet is actually BLAZING fast! It's so cool!

Anyhoo, this card features the Leaves of Holly bundle from the July to December Mini Catalog. I love this bundle as it creates such elegant cards with minimal effort. This particular card was inspired by a catalog sample. Where do you find your inspiration?

Keeping it Simple with Trimming the Tree by Stampin' Up!®

 Hello my friends!

Today I have a very simple and basic card featuring the Trimming the Tree stamp and die bundle. This set is part of the Perfect Partners promotion by Stampin' Up! which means the coordinating dies are only around until 9/30/22! And I don't know about you, but I am NOT a fan of fussy cutting so having coordination dies is a big deal for me. And what's great about these dies is there are so many extras that aren't just for saving you from the fussy cutting, but for instance in this collection of dies, there are pieces that add texture to your designs, like cutting the "branches" so that you can actually fluff your tree branches for added visual interest and texture in your card, like I did for this one.

I wasn't able to capture the individual cuts made into the branches here in the photo but they are there and the branches are fluffed and it shows nicely in person.

Check out the texture of the basket! Yeah, that's another "bonus" die in the collection. Again, this was such a simple card, one that would be easy to mass produce and have ready for your Christmas wishes. Let me know if I can help you with your holiday card sending needs.

Happy Stamping,

Trimming the Tree Fun Fold

Trimming the Tree Fun Fold

Hello my friends!
This week I am still featuring the Perfect Pari Bundles. Trimming the Tree is the next one up and today, is a fun fold. This fun fold uses a standard card base and is scored in such a way that it fits in a standard card envelope.
The back of the card acts as the "inside" for stamping and writing your greeting/message as seen here in the photo below.

To create this fun fold you will need to score each end of your card base at 2" and 3-1/8". The inside and outside "centers" of this card (Basic White panel and DSP panel) measure 2" x 5-1/4" and the 2 end DSP panels measure 1-3/4" 5-1/4". The best part about this fun fold is that it's easy for the recipient to display their special handmade card!

This Birthday Piggy Flip Up Fun Fold

Hello my friends! First, I'd like to thank those of you that came over to YouTube to watch my Live Stream. I'm so happy that it worked so smoothly unlike my Facebook Lives that keep glitching and freezing. So thank you! That was fun, and we will definitely do it again.

Wanna catch the replay?

Anyhoo, I love this layout/fun fold. It's not only easy, but it looks great and This Birthday Piggy set works perfectly with it.

To color this image, I again pulled out my Watercolor Pencils Assortment2 and my Blender Pens. I LOVE the blending that I get with these two coloring tools together. During my last Facebook Live, we decided our Piggy's name was Wilbur and Wilbur looks GREAT in Flirty Flamingo pencil, don't you think? What is your go to coloring tools? Is it the Watercolor Pencils? Stampin' Blends? Watercolor with your ink pads or re-inkers? I'd love to know. Leave me a comment and let me know your favorite way to color your images?

Don't forget to grab your FREE downloadable PDF with all the measurements!

Happy Stamping.
