Stampin' Up! Dashing Deer and Buffalo Check

Good afternoon and Happy Tuesday! I'm getting so excited, this weekend coming is my first ever full day stamping retreat and I can not wait to spoil my stampers! It actually makes me giddy just thinking about it!
Anyway, today I want to share a fun card with you, using the Dashing Deer bundle and the awesome background stamp, Buffalo Check. But what I think really steals the show here is the Swirls & Curls embossing folder! It came as a surprise really just how amazing this embossing folder is when I got the card all put together.
To create this card, I used a Cherry Cobbler card base cut 8.5" x 5.5" scored and folded at 4.25; I then cut a second layer of Cherry Cobbler 5.25" x 4" and stamped the Buffalo Check image with Blackberry Bliss ink. Amazing right? The Blackberry Bliss actually looks Black against the Cherry Cobbler. I then cut a strip of Gold Glimmer paper .5" x 4" and adhered it to the left edge of the 4" x 4" Whisper White panel that I embossed with the Swirls & Curls embossing folder. I then attached them to the card base using Stampin' Dimensionals. I cut the Reindeer from Gold Foil paper and added him to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals and added a double bow made from Linen Thread. I then stamped the sentiment onto a piece of Whisper White measuring 3/4" x 3" in Versamark ink and embossed it in Gold Embossing powder with my heat tool, flagged the left edge and added it to the bottom right of the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals

I hope you enjoyed today's card as much as I did. I have a great day and until next time,
Happy Stamping,

Simply Stated Stampin' Up! Country Home

Happy Thursday! I'm so glad you could join me this morning because I want to show off a great card for you using the brand new Country Home stamp set from Stampin' Up! I just love this set and today, I wanted to focus on the simple beauty of this set that required the minimum of materials to create. Seriously, I used Crumb Cake cardstock, a scrap piece of Whisper White, 1 ink pad (Memento Tuxedo Black) and half of Pearlized Doily. Oh yeah, and the Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

Sometimes, less can be more. This simple card has an elegance about it and I love the way it turned out. The Crumb Cake card base is cut 85" x 5.5" and scored and folded at 4.25". The layered piece of Crumb Cake is cut 5.25" x 4" and went through the Big Shot using the Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I wrapped the 3/16" Braided Linen Trim around twice and tied into a knot and frayed the ends slightly. I then adhered this entire panel to the card base using Stampin' Dimensionals. I then stamped the image and sentiment onto a scrap piece of Whisper White measuring 3" x 3" using the Memento Tuxedo Black ink and added half of a Pearlized Doily to the bottom and adhered that to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Again, very minimal supplies and I have a beautiful card and I will be featuring this card in my card classes this month.

Happy Stamping,

Pleasant Pheasants with Brusho Watercolor Crystals

Hello and Happy Tuesday! Well, today I have a card to share with you that I made with the brand new Pleasant Pheasants stamp set, which happens to be my product pick for this week, and I decided to pull out my Brusho Watercolor Crystals to see what I could come up with, and to put this card over the top, I decided to use alcohol mixed with the Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint also found in the Holiday Catalog to activate the crystals, and here are the results!

To create this card, I started with a standard card base from Early Espresso, 8.5" x 5.5" scored and folded at 4.25". I also had a layer of Pumpkin Pie that measured 3.25" x 4.25" and a piece of Watercolor Paper that measured 3" x 4". I stamped my images in Stazon ink and then applied the crystals. I did the Yellow along the top, the Gamboge along the middle section and the Moss Green along the bottom. Using a Stampin' Spritzer, I added rubbing alcohol and about 2 large drops of the Champagne Mist Shimmer paint and spritzed the crystals. I did go back and add a few more crystals of each color and spritzed again and used a tissue to help move the color. The results, gorgeous! The photo doesn't do it any justice because I wasn't able to capture the sparkle, but it looked like diamond dust was added to the card front. It was Wink of Stella X 10 kind of sparkle. I then dried the piece using my heat tool and adhered it to the Pumpkin Pie panel with Snail adhesive. I did go a bit heavy on the Snail because the watercolor paper did warp a bit. I then wrapped some Linen Thread around the card base front twice and tied it into a bow. I then popped the image piece up on Stampin' Dimensionals to add it to the card front.  It really was a quick and easy card to make and I hope you give it a try too. Don't be afraid to use your Brusho Watercolor Crystals. They really are a lot of fun to use, every card will come out a little different, as the colors move differently each time, they also react a little different with alcohol compared to with water (with water they are much more reactive)

Well, I hope you enjoyed today's card, if you would like to watch me make this, be sure to stop by my FB business page where I did this card during a FB Live session.

In the meantime, Happy Stamping,

Are you up for the Challenge? Cauldron Bubble

Hello and Happy Thursday! Are you enjoying this new catalog as much as I am? Oh boy, am I in love!
Anyhoo, this week I wanted to share with you the challenge we do each week on my FB page. I've been creating these Tic Tac Toe challenges and the ladies all seem to enjoy them, and so do I. Here is this weeks challenge,
So, here's how it works. You decide what elements in the tic tac toe pattern you want to incorporate into your card, but it must create the tic tac toe, whether it's down, across or diagonal. For instance, my card met the challenge using the left column down, Fun Fold, Halloween and Wood.

Yes, this is the same fun-fold pattern I showed in Tuesdays post. I told you, it's a lot of fun to play with.  These challenges are a lot of fun, and I would love to have you join us. So, stop by my FB page, and click "like" and come hang out with us. I promise, we are a lot of fun and we have a great group of positive, fun loving ladies hanging out with us over there.
Happy Stamping,
