All That's New - A RemArkably Created Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the RemARKably Creative Blog Hop! I am so glad you could join us! This month, our theme is All That's New! We are featuring all new product found in our UH-MAZING new annual catalog and as you hop along with us, you will see some beautiful samples from our very talented demonstrators. Now, you maybe just getting started here on my blog, Katrina's Kreative Heart with me, Katrina Wolfe, or you have come here from the blog before me, either way, if at anytime you get lost or are unsure of where to head to next, just use the links below this post where I have everyone participating in the hop listed. Again, you are here on my blog, Katrina's Kreative Heart with Katrina Wolfe and I hope you enjoy your stop here.

Today, I want to share a fun I card I created with the brand new stamp set, Detailed with Love. This is an awesome bundle found in the Stampin' Up! 2018-2019 Annual Catalog. (Do you have a catalog? If the answer is no and you aren't currently working with a demonstrator already, click here to request a catalog and I will get one out to you - this is a MUST have!) I love this entire suite of product, however, for today's card, I only used the stamp and punch from the bundle and of course I used some of our brand new, gorgeous 2018-2020 In Colors!
To create this card, I started with a standard top folding card base of Basic Gray, measuring 4.5" x 11" scored and folded at 5.5". I then cut a Whisper White square 4" x 4"  and a scrap piece of Whisper White. Before stamping my image, I created a template for my Stamparatus using my grid paper and a 6" x 6" piece of Window Sheet, by drawing out two 4" squares onto the grid paper, one straight and one on the diagonal intersecting one another (I also added 3" squares and 2" squares for future use) - See Video - I then placed the template in the Stamparatus and lined up my 4" piece of Whisper White with the template and began stamping my wreath shape. I added all of the Lovely Lipstick "florals" then adjusted my stamp and then stamped all of the Pineapple Punch "floral", turning my paper, alternating the blue and red template lines as I turned. I then punched the detailed corner punch on all 4 corners and then rounded them all. I attached this to the card base with Snail adhesive. Then, using the Stamparatus, I stamped the oval image from the set onto the scrap piece of Whisper White with Basic Gray ink and ran it through the Big Shot with an oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits. I added this to the card front in the center of the "wreath" using Stampin' Dimensionals. For added zip and glitz, I added Basic Rhinestones to the center of each of the Pineapple Punch "florals" and for a final touch, I wrapped the Lovely Lipstick 1/8" Grosgrain Ribbon around the bottom of the card front and tied it into a knot. I think this color really POPS against the Basic Gray. And that completes today's card.

Thanks so much for taking part in our Blog Hop today, there are so many awesome ideas and lots of inspiration that you won't want to miss; so be sure to use the links below to continue through the hop. Remember, you are currently here on my blog, Katrina's Kreative Heart with Katrina Wolfe.

Varied Vases - CASE*ING The Catalog

Good Afternoon and Happy Wednesday! I know, I'm a day late here, but again, life gets in the way. Yes, I am still dealing with the stolen Instagram account issue. I've now reported the issue through Facebook to see if they can help because my Facebook business page is linked to the stolen account so I am receiving the thief's messages and comments! I really don't need to see or know who thinks the thief is "hot"! Oh yeah, fun times.
Anyhoo, today, I want to share a fun project I made using the awesome Varied Vases stamp set. I actually CASE'd this card straight from the catalog. This set is so versatile and creates some of the most simple yet beautiful cards. It's definitely one you MUST place on your shopping list! It was designed by one of our very own million dollar achievers, Mary Fish. She sure knows what we like!
And of course, I reached for my UH_MAZING new 2018-2019 Annual Catalog for my inspiration and this is what I made. For this card, I started with a card base of Powder Pink, 4" x 8" scored and folded at the 4" mark to create a 4" x 4" top folding card. I then cut down a piece of Grapefruit Grove 3" x 3" and adhered to the front of the card at an angle. I cut a piece of Whisper White 3" x 3" and stamped the large "splay" of flowers with Powder Pink, the flower cluster in Daffodil Delight and the small individual flower outline in Grapefruit Grove ink and then filled in with the solid coordinating stamp with Grapefruit Grove stamped off once. I did this in a random pattern and attached this to the card front straight. I then added a piece of the  Daffodil Delight 1/4" double stitched ribbon with a couple of Glue Dots. I then cut a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock 3/4" x 3 1/2" and stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso ink and added that to the front of the card over the ribbon with a couple of Stampin' Dimensionals. I then made a double bow with the Whisper White Bakers Twine and added it to the front end of the sentiment with a Glue Dot.

To clean my stamps between colors, I used the brand new Simply Shammy! This ranks up there as one of those MUST have tools! I L. O. V. E. the Simply Shammy and you will too! I linked to it down below. But this Shammy is unlike any of the others I have used. It is much thicker than the others and stays wet longer and for cleaning stamps, it's a dream and you only need WATER! Seriously, who knew just plain water and this awesome Shammy could get your stamps so clean..no more muddy stamps! Seriously, this thing makes me do the happy dance. As a matter of fact, I am ordering a couple more to use at my classes! Yes, I like it that much!

I really have enjoyed working with this stamp set and I hope you enjoyed today's card. I would love to hear your thoughts, so please feel free to leave a comment. If you would like to receive weekly information and tutorials, please sign up for my email list. And remember, when you need an idea, just reach for you catalog, there are so many amazing projects featured throughout the pages. If you don't have a catalog and you don't have a demonstrator, feel free to reach out to me and I will get one out to you ASAP. Request a catalog here

Out with the Old and In with the New

Hello and Happy Thursday! Well have you missed me? I'm going to start calling myself the Drama Mamma...OH EM GEEEE! I'm not even sure where to begin. Let's just say, it's been one thing after another and leave it at that....It all started with a failed trip to Mobile, Alabama (hmmm, we're gonna try that one again in a few weeks - fingers crossed it works this time) then, I got hacked and my Instagram account was STOLEN! For real...STOLEN! I was able to track down my account using a personal # but unfortunately, Instagram wouldn't help me recover my account. Finally, early this week, the hacker removed my photos, changed the account name again and kept my email address, kept all of my followers and passed themselves off as an Instagram Marketer! I again notified Instagram...I still haven't heard anything back from them and warned as many of my friends and followers as I could that this person was fraudulent and to block them which many of them did do and many "reported" them as well and as of this morning, it appears either the account was removed or I was blocked from seeing them? But I must say, that is the most awful feeling! You truly feel violated and when my photos were still there and I could see my little dog and my husband with someone else's name attached...it was down right creepy and that just made me so sad...so that consumed a large amount of my time and didn't leave anytime for my blog...so for that I am so sorry. But on a side note as a PSA...please do yourself a HUGE favor..turn on 2 factor Authentication for all of your social media accounts! It's amazing what unscrupulous people will do! I have now changed ALL of my passwords and turned on the 2 factor authentication (all that is, is when you attempt to log in, Instagram or Facebook will text you a code in addition to putting in your password, you will enter the code they text you also. That confirms it is really you and not someone that just hacked your account password..you need both to get in.

Ok, now, the good stuff! Today is the last day to order off the retirement list! After today, it all goes away FOREVER...but, tomorrow after 12 PM MT the new 2018-2019 Annual Catalog goes live! Talk about happy dance! I just LOVE this new catalog! Just wait until you see it if you haven't seen it already! And to celebrate, tomorrow night, I will be Live on my Facebook page at 7 PM EDT, doing a walk through of the catalog, a little stamping and announcing an UH-MAZING give away you won't want to miss...so be sure to join me to learn how you can win this brand new stamp set! So, grab your favorite beverage and come party with me!

Happy Stamping,
Katrina

Itty Bitty Thank You Cards Using the Itty Bitty Greetings

Hello and Happy Thursday! Well, the whirl wind trip to Alabama never actually occurred. I did however, spend several hours sitting at the Syracuse Hancock Airport. But with severe weather in the Chicago area, our plane was so delayed that we were never going to make our connecting flight and they weren't able to get us onto another flight until Wednesday which meant we were going to miss our facility site visit which was our entire reason for going, so, we canceled our plans and came home after sitting at the airport for 4 hours.
No problem. I just used the time to catch up on a few things around the house and had some time with hubby as he happened to have the past couple of days off. Now he's back to work and I have a few more days to myself and decided to catch up on my March and April thank you cards for customer orders and thought I would share them with you since they are using some brand new product coming June 1st.
For my March/April order appreciation cards that go out with the free gift earned for placing orders, I chose to use the new Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set and the beautiful Lovely Floral Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder along with the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper. To create this adorable card, I started with a 6" x 3" piece of Mint Macaron cardstock, a returning favorite color, scored and folded at 3" to create a 3" x 3" card. I ran one end of the card base through the Big Shot with the Lovely Floral Dynamic Embossing Folder. . I then cut a piece of Whisper White .25" x 2.5" and stamped the Many Thanks sentiment from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and bannered one end. I also cut a piece of DSP .5" x 2.75" and bannered one end of that also. I adhered the DSP flat to the card base and using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals, I popped up the sentiment. These little cards fit perfectly in the Whisper White 3" x 3" envelopes. I am so happy Stampin' Up! brought these back last year because I LOVE them.
Well, that's all I have for today. I hope you enjoyed today's sneak peek into the up coming 2018-2019 Annual catalog. If you need a catalog, please let me know, I would love to get one out to you. In the meantime, Happy Stamping,

Happy Mother's Day with A Mothers Flair

Hello and Happy Mother's Day to all of you wonderful mothers out there! It's mothers that make the world go round for sure! I am especially grateful for my own mother and blessed to still have her. I understand this can be an especially difficult day for those missing their moms and for that I truly am sorry.
Today, I want to share with you the card I presented to my mom this afternoon. I made it using the awesome, A Mothers Flair stamp set. I love the simple images in this set and think it is really a great set to mix up sentiments with to create birthday and just because cards for the special women in your life, not just Mother's Day
...but in honor of today, it is a Mother's Day card. To create this card, I started with a standard card base of Basic Black cut 4.25" x 11" scored and folded at 5.5" and I cut a second piece of Basic Black 4" x 5.25" and ran it through the Big Shot with the Layered Leaves Dynamic Embossing folder.
I added a piece of the Petal Passion DSP cut 3" x 4" and adhered that to the bottom of the embossed piece and wrapped a piece of Berry Burst woven ribbon around the seam and tied a bow. I then adhered the panel to the card base. I then stamped the image onto a piece of Whisper White with Basic Black Archival ink and colored in the flower with the Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist Stampin' Write markers. I cut it out using the Layering Ovals and I cut out a scalloped oval from a scrap of Berry Burst cardstock to layer. I popped these up with Stampin' Dimensionals and added a rhinestone to the flower center. To complete the card I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of Whisper White measuring .5" x 3" and I bannered both ends and added it to the front of the card using more Stampin' Dimensionals. And for a finishing touch. I added a piece of the DSP to the envelope flap. I hope you enjoyed today's card. I'm off to pack my bags as tomorrow I am heading off to Mobile, Al on hospital related business. I'll be back Wednesday, so until then Happy Stamping!

Love What You Do Share What You Love

Good Morning and Happy Tuesday! It looks like it's going to be another amazing day today. The sun is already out and it's pretty early yet. This is a crazy week since I have a class I'm prepping for on Thursday, it's Nurse's Week at the hospital and I'm getting ready for another site visit, this time in Mobile, Alabama! I'll only be gone less than 3 days but trying to make sure everything is all set here for hubby and little Tucker. He's going to be a sad boy while mamma is away. He really is a mamma's boy and I can tell he senses something is up, he's sticking to me like glue.

Anyway, today, I wanted to share a card with you that I made using the awesome, Gotta Have it All bundle. I absolutely love this bundle and find I can just keep on going with this suite. I am reaching for it time and time again. And you still have time to take advantage of the bundling of the product. After 5/31 the bundles go away! Anyhoo, here is the card:
I started with a standard card base of Rich Razzleberry 8.5" x 5.5" scored and folded at 4.25". I then added a piece of the coordinating Designer Series paper cut at 4" x 5.25" and adhered to the card front. I then cut a second piece of Rich Razzleberry 4" x 3" and a piece of \whisper White 3.75" x 2.75" and stamped the sentiment in the lower right hand corner, this helped me with the placement of my flowers as I wanted them more toward the right while ensuring enough room for the sentiment and that took care of that. (I stamped these in Memento Tuxedo Black ink) I then took the larger "ink splat" and inked it with Rich Razzleberry and stamping off first, I stamped the flower petals. I did this for all 3 flowers. I then took the small "ink splat" and stamped the center of the flowers with full strength Rich Razzleberry ink. I then layered this onto the second piece of Rich Razzleberry. I wrapped a piece of the Rich Razzleberry velure ribbon around it and added a bow with a glue dot and adhered this down to the upper part of the card base. I added a piece of Whisper White cardstock to the inside of the card that measures 4" x 5.25" and that completes our card today.

I hope you enjoyed today's card. Please feel free to leave a comment as I would love to read them. I wish you all an amazing day.
