2nd Annual Ultimate Pink Blog Hop

Welcome to the 2nd Annual Ultimate Pink Blog Hop! I am so glad you stopped by and are following along the hop. This month our theme is Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness. You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog, Katrina's Kreative Heart (Katrina Wolfe) or you may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to log so you see all the amazing projects. At the moment, you are visiting Katrina Wolfe.

As most of you know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and I am so honored to be able to participate in this hop as Breast Cancer awareness and prevention and finding a cure are pretty important to me. I have lost friends to this horrific disease and I have watched friends fight and win a courageous battle only to turn around and have to battle complications related to their fight. I know in my heart it's just a matter of time for that break through to find the ultimate cure, but we all must do our part, so, I have decided to take a stand against this disease by holding a Stamp Out Breast Cancer Class next week, featuring the Ribbon of Courage stamp set. and I am donating my sales commission for the month of October to Breast Cancer Research in order to do my part. And, for every order of $25 or more using the October Host Code, will receive 3 free card kits in the mail and you will be entered into the drawing for the $15 Host Rewards at the end of the month.

Today, I want to share with you another card I made featuring the Ribbon of Courage stamp set and coordinating dies.

I love the encouraging sentiments in this stamp set. I used the beautiful In-colors Powder Pink and Berry Burst. I think the Berry Burst adds just the right amount of pop to this card.
I hope you are enjoying the hop. I want to thank you for taking the time to hop along with us, there are so many amazing ideas and inspiration you don't want to miss. Remember, you are currently on my blog, Katrina's Kreative Heart (Katrina Wolfe) so, continue through the line up by clicking on the link to the next blog in line and be sure to leave comments as you move along so we know you stopped by; we love to read what you have to say.

Avant Garden, One Last Temptation Remarkable Blog Hop

Welcome to the blog hop! I'm so glad you could join us! If this is your first stop, then you are in for a treat...just follow the links to lots of great ideas and wonderful demonstrator creations to tempt you one last time before Sale-a-Bration comes to an end. Today, I decided to share with you the Avant Garden Sale-a-Bration set. This set is so versatile and works wonderfully with the Cupcakes and Carousels DSP found in the Occasions catalog.
I love how this turned out with the Early Espresso ink with the contrast of the Very Vanilla and Calypso Coral. The Very Vanilla ribbon, also from the Occasions catalog provided the finishing touch on this card.
The DSP gives this card a vintage almost shabby chic look. As a matter of fact, the Very Vanilla ribbon could easily be changed out for a bit of lace from the Annual Catalog to really bring out the Shabby Chic feel but I'm really happy with how this one turned out. I hope you have enjoyed today's card. Be sure to follow the link to Janet's blog and leave comments along the way. We all truly love to hear your thoughts and I thank you so much for stopping by today.
Happy Stamping!
Katrina

Out with the Old and In with the New Blog Hop

Hey there, thanks for stopping by, and if you're following the blog hop, you're in for a treat. We have lots of talented demonstrators showcasing some great stuff today, and I am sharing with you the Big on Birthdays stamp set with a masculine twist. I love to see how many ways I can stretch a stamp set and this one is more of a feminine design and I decided to see if I could make a masculine birthday card from it using the retiring Warmth and Cheer Designer Series paper stack. I love this paper and as a bonus, it happens to be on the Year End Closeout list so now is the time to stock up on it if you love it as much as I do.

Supplies:
Stamp Set: Big on Birthdays
Ink:Early Espresso
Paper: Early Espresso; Whisper White; Crumb Cake; Warmth and Cheer DSP Stack
Tools:Big Shot; Festive TIEF; Birthday Pop Up Thinlits Dies; Fast Fuse; Fine Tip glue

Directions:

Start with a card base of Early Espresso, cut 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored and folded at 4 1/4". Cut a piece of Whisper White 5 1/4" x 4" and stamp the Happy Birthday at the very top with Early Espresso ink and with Fast Fuse, adhere this to the card base. Cut a piece of Crumb Cake 3 3/4" x 2 1/4" and run it through the Big Shot with the Festive TIEF and adhere this to the bottom portion of the card and cut the bow and ribbon from scrap Crumb Cake with the dies from the Birthday Pop Up Thinlits. Cut a piece of the DSP 2"x 2 3/4" and adhere that to the center of the embossed Crumb Cake piece and add the die cut ribbon and bow with the Fine Tip glue.

I'm really happy with how this card turned out. I hope you like it too. Please leave a comment below as I look forward to hearing your thoughts and be sure to continue following the links through the Blog Hop. I appreciate you stopping by and everyone else will too.

Happy Stamping,
Katrina
