Masculine Cards featuring Stampin' Up! Legendary Ride

inside_out_card_kkh
Hey friends,
So glad you stopped by, today I have a couple of fun cards featuring the Legendary Ride bundle from the January to April 2023 Mini Catalog.

The first card features the DSP inside and outside the card. I love that you can see the amazing paper when the card is closed and open. The Legendary Ride stamp set is a perfect set for masculine cards as you can see here it's used as a Birthday card.

Card #2 is perfect to let that special guy in your life know you think they're pretty special, "legendary" even! I love the shadow effect you can see just by popping the motorcycle up on Stampin' Dimensionals. And check out all the detail in that bike! Stampin' Up! and their artists do an amazing job of capturing all the details in their stamps. I love it!

I hope these cards inspire you to create some masculine cards to have in your stash. We all have those occasions we need to spoil the men in our lives and I think these help fit the bill.

Happy Stamping,

Retiform and Best Catch

Hello! I have a fun card I want to share with you that I made on my Facebook Live Sunday night. It's a fun technique that I haven't used in a long time and I was reminded of it at my team meeting by one of my team members, Brenda.
Each month at our team meeting, I am having one or two of my team present a technique or new pattern to the group. I love the sharing among us and it keeps them engaged, and this month was Brenda's turn and she presented the Retiform technique. She used the too cute for words Hop Along Sale-a-bration stamp set and it got me to thinking I wanted to do something with this technique on my Facebook Live. So, I pulled out Best Catch.
It just so happens to be my product pick for this week. It's carrying over into the new catalog, however, the bundle pricing goes away with the end of the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog on June 3rd, so don't miss out on that 10% savings. Seriously!

This stamp set lends itself to this technique perfectly with all of it's different fishing related images such as the fish, fishing hat and fly. I love this set and it's perfect for the fishermen in you life. I have several.
To create this card, you will need a post it note, ink (I used Crumb Cake for the sponging and Early Espresso for the stamped images) a sponge, and a multi image stamp set. Begin by applying the post it note across the cardstock and sponge color lightly over and into the post it. Then move it around, sponging as you go, to create random areas of demarcation as seen in the photo above. Keep in mind, everyone you do, will be different. That's the beauty of hand made! Once you are happy with your results, stamp your images randomly inside the "framed" areas created by the sponging and post it note. Quick, simple and a great card! I hope you enjoyed this and if you would like to check out the video for this card, visit my Facebook page to view it here. #simplestamping
Have a great remainder to your evening and thanks for stopping by, I truly appreciate you!

A Good Day for the Guys

Hello and Happy Tuesday! And oh what a happy Tuesday it is.....I got to finally get a sneak peek into the new 2018-2019 Annual catalog! OH-EM-GEE!!! I can't spill any of the beans just yet, but HOLY SMOKES! I just wish I could have gotten to go to the OnStage event but, it just wasn't in the cards...however, I am making a plan to go in November! I just can't stand it! In the meantime, I can tell you, we have a color revamp coming up in the new catalog, and that means some of our old favorites are coming back while some of our current favorites are going away. See the revamp here. I can also share the retirement lists with you too. Keep in mind, stamps will be available through the end of May, however, all non-stamps are while supplies last and much of it will go quickly! Get the Annual Catalog retirement list here and the Occasions Catalog retlist here

Well, as I stated Sunday, I got to spend some time in my craft room over the weekend and I got to play with the A Good Day stamp set again. I love this little stamp set. The images may be small, but they sure are mighty! I wanted a masculine feel for a Thank You card and this set along with the True Gentleman Designer Series Paper, fit the bill.

I started with a piece of Night of Navy cardstock for my card base cute 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored and folded at 4 1/4". I then took a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock cut 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" and ran it through the Big Shot with the Pinewood Planks Dynamic Embossing Folder and adhered it to the card front. I then cut 3 Night of Navy mats, 1 7/8" x 2 5/8" and  pieces of the True Gentleman Designer Series paper and a piece of Very Vanilla 1 3/4" x 2 1/2" and layered them onto the mats. I adhered the 2 pieces with the DSP flat to the card front and popped the piece with the Very Vanilla up on a couple of Stampin' Dimensionals. I then stamped the image from the A Good Day stamp set in Night of Navy ink and punched it out with the 1 3/8: Scalloped Circle Punch and layered it onto a slightly larger scalloped circle I cut using the Layering Circles Framelits collection and popped it up on Dimensionals and added a few loops of the Gold Thread for a bit of texture and interest.

I hope you enjoyed today's card and if you would like to receive tutorials such as this in your inbox, be sure to subscribe to my mailing list by clicking here. In the meantime, have an amazing day and happy stamping,

Nailed It Chrome Style!

Hi all! Happy Thursday! I hope you're having a great day. We are still in the throws of warm and balmy weather. Unfortunately all good things must come to an end and it looks like winter will return Sunday (insert sad face)
Anyway, I have a cute card for you that is perfect for the men in your life. It uses the Nailed It bundle and I LOVE LOVE LOVE this bundle!
To begin, I ran a piece of the Silver Foil paper through the Big Shot using the brand new Dynamics Embossing Folder, Hexagons. This is such an amazing effect on this card. It totally looks like chrome here. I then adhered that to my basic card front using Tombow liquid glue. I then stamped my images onto Whisper White cardstock using Black Archival ink and colored them in using my beloved Watercolor pencils and blended the color out with my blender pens. I cut each tool out with the coordinating dies from the bundle and stamped the sentiment and cut out with the die and adhered them onto the the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals. I cut a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock 1/4" x 5 1/4" and adhered to the center of the card, over the tools using a Stampin' Dimensional on each end.
Fast and Simple, just the way I like it but it still packs a  punch!
Thanks for stopping by. I really appreciate that. Please leave a comment below and let me know your thoughts on this card.
In the meantime, Happy Stamping,
