A Quick n Easy Treat Box - Perfect for Easter or Anytime!

Lemon_garden_toolbox_kkh

Hey friends,

Thanks so much for coming to hang out. Today I have a super cute, quick n easy treat box that looks much like a garden toolbox to share with you. My box features the Sweet Citrus bundle from the 2023 January to April Mini catalog, however, you could definitely change this up with Spring florals or a cute little bunny (the bunny punch is due back Mid-May!)and it's large enough to hold a lot of jelly beans, chocolate eggs, even a couple of hard boiled Easter Eggs. Here, I filled my treat box with Lemon Heads candy to keep with the lemony theme.

The measurements for this box are as follows:

Base is 8" x 6" scored at 1 3/4" on all 4 sides

The Ends: 2 pcs 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" (mark 3/4" in on one end from the top and from the side, then cut on the diagonal from mark to mark to achieve the shape)

Handle: 5 1/2" x 2 1/2" Score with the long end at the top at 1/2" and at 5", turn and score at 1/2", 1", 1 1/2" and 2"

I hope you enjoyed this fun little treat box and can't wait to see what you do with it. \

Happy Stamping,

Lights Aglow Perfect for Gift Giving

Lights Aglow Gift Box
The Lights Aglow Suite of product is another elegant Christmas suite found in the July to December Mimi catalog that is easy to design with. Here I used Basic Black with the Lights Aglow 6" x 6" DSP and Gold Glimmer Paper with the Snowflake die from the Twinkling Lights Dies. This gift box/bag holds a decent amount of treats and would also be great for jewelry and many other smaller gift items. To punch through all the layers of cardstock and DSP, I used my crop-a-dile by We R. then using my Take Your Pick Took, I ran the beautiful Gold and Vanilla Satin Edged Ribbon through the holes and tied a bow to seal the box/bag

A Quick and Simple Treat Box featuring the Piece of Cake Stamp Set
Today, I have a really fun project to share with you! It's a quick and simple treat box featuring the Piece of Cake stamp set by Stampin' Up! I love this box because not only is it quick and simple and oh so totally cute, but it uses a FULL sheet of 8 1/2" x 11" piece of cardstock so there is absolutely NO waste! None! You make a couple of little cuts, but we use those little left over pieces to complete the design so NOTHING is wasted! I mean really, it doesn't get much better than that, at least not in my opinion.
Below, you will find a downloadable PDF consisting of supply list, dimensions and instructions. I also included a diagram to show you how your score lines should look.

Candy Cane Season Treat Box

Good Morning and Happy FRIYAY! Thanks for stopping by to hang out with me for a bit. Wow, talk about one of those weeks! This week has certainly run away on me and I must apologies as I had intended to get this post up for you yesterday, however, I sincerely thought yesterday was Wednesday all day! Yup, I can officially state, I have LOST it! But, imagine my excitement when I realized today was Friday and I was that much closer to the weekend!

Anyhoo, today's project is just too stinkin' cute. I do have to admit, this isn't entirely my idea. I did see another demonstrator make a video creating this box using an entirely different stamp set. As a matter of fact, hers wasn't a Christmas theme at all; hers was PERFECT for a baby shower actually; but anyway, I absolutely loved it and decided to re-create it with a Christmas theme and I just love the Candy Cane Season bundle, which happens to be on the retirement list, so when it's gone, it's gone forever at this point, so if this set happens to be on your wishlist, don't wait, it is gaining popularity and I noticed in addition to myself, there are at least 4 other demonstrators that I know of that chose to feature this bundle this week! You know the old saying, "great minds think a like"! You will find links to everything you need, below at the bottom of this post.

To create this adorable little treat box, you will need a piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock cut 7" x 7 1/2"; I stamped the multi-hohoho image from the Candy Cane Season stamp set all over the cardstock using Cherry Cobbler ink to add texture and interest to the end result. You will need a scoring tool of some sort; I used the Simply Scored Scoring Tool. With the 7 1/2" edge along the top of the scoring tool, score at 1"; 1 1/2" & 2"; turn and score the opposite side also at 1"; 1 1/2" & 2". Then turn so that the 7" side is along the top of the scoring board. Score at 1"; 3 1/4"; 4 1/4" & 6 1/2"; fold on all of the score lines.
Run a piece of Tear & Tape along the narrow 1/2" edge and seal the box by folding the opposing edges together. Then, flatten the box and using the Envelope Punch Board, you are going to line up the center score line on each end on both sides and punch. Be sure to reference the FB Live video for clear instructions.
Cut 2 pieces of the Festive Farmhouse DSP 2" x 3 1/4" for the top and bottom of the box. Then cut 2 pieces of the same DSP 3/4" x 3 1/4" for the sides of the box . Then, using the 2 1/4" Circle punch, I punched out a piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock and cut a scalloped circle from Very Vanilla using the Layering Circles Framelits along with another smaller from Cherry Cobbler and layered together with Snail and added to the box with Stampin' Dimensionals. I then stamped the Candy Cane image with Cherry Cobbler ink and punched it out adding that to the layered circles with Stampin' Dimensionals. Then with Call Me Clover ink, I stamped the bow outline full strength and for the inside bow image, I stamped off to get a lighter shade - I love how you can get multiple shades of ink from 1 ink pad just by stamping off, once, twice and three times, don't you?
I punched that out also using the Candy Cane Builder punch and added it to the candy cane with a bit of Snail. I then stamped the Be Jolly sentiment from the stamp set also in Call Me Clover and trimmed it out using my Paper Snips and added it with some Mini Dimensionals. I closed up the ends and added some of the Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon (I LOVE this stuff) I used the Very Vanilla as this comes in Whisper White as well. If you don't have this ribbon yet, this is a MUST have, just sayin'!

Well, that completes our fun little treat box. It really is the perfect size to present a gift card, a small gift such as chap stick, lipstick or candy. I hope you will give it a try, if you stop by my FB page and watch the video, it truly is a super easy box to make. If you try it out, be sure to share your creations with me over on my FB page. I LOVE to see what you're doing.

Happy Stamping,
