After being completely knocked down last week by a nasty head and chest cold, I am so happy to say… we are officially back in the craft room 🙌
The voice may still get a little raspy here and there, but we are stamping again—and that’s what matters.
This week I featured the Petals of Beauty Bundle paired with the Words of Beauty Bundle, plus the coordinating Brushed with Beauty Designer Series Paper. Let me just tell you… this suite is soft, elegant, and ridiculously versatile.
We created three cards:
A fun fold “I Think You’re Amazing”
A layered “Just Because”
A textured “Because I Love You”
And each one highlights a different way to stretch your supplies.
Why Petals of Beauty + Words of Beauty Work So Well Together
The magic here is simple:
Petals of Beauty gives you the florals and greenery.
Words of Beauty gives you bold, layered sentiments.
The coordinating Brushed with Beauty DSP does half the design work for you.
You can purchase them separately, but together? They feel like they were made to be paired (because they were 😉).
In my live demonstration, I showed how easy it is to layer the detailed and solid floral stamps using Peach Pie and Calypso Coral for that dimensional look. Photopolymer stamps make lining everything up so simple—just look for a “kicker petal” and anchor from there.
Card #1: The Fun Fold That Looks Fancy (But Isn’t)
This fun fold uses:
A 5½" x 7¼" base scored at 3"
A 4¼" x 4¼" square scored at 1"
Strong adhesive (tear tape recommended!)
The key tip?
Use strong adhesive on that 1" scored flap. You want that panel secure since it carries the decorative front.
I layered:
A stamped and die-cut floral cluster
Pearls of Beauty embellishments
The result feels interactive but still mails beautifully. This is the kind of card that makes people say, “Wait… how did you do that?”
Card #2: Let the Designer Paper Do the Heavy Lifting
Good designer paper solves that problem instantly.
For this one:
Crumb Cake base (because it goes with everything—Nancy would roll her eyes right now 😂)
Striped background
Floral focal panel
Die-cut “just” with adhesive sheet backing
Mini dimensionals for clean layering
Pro tip:
Use adhesive sheets behind detailed word dies. It turns them into stickers and saves your sanity.
Also, I strategically hid a glue dot behind vellum with a pearl. Craft math at its finest.
Card #3: Texture Makes Everything Look Expensive
Thick Basic White base
Beautiful Patterns Embossing Folder
Die-cut florals straight from DSP
Vellum greenery
White and coral pearls
The embossing folder adds a subtle lattice texture that feels high-end without overpowering the design.
Important tip:
Because the texture is fine, regular adhesive works perfectly here. You don’t need liquid glue unless the embossing is deep and dramatic.
And don’t be afraid to die cut directly from designer paper. That floral detail? It’s already shaded for you.
Bonus Days Reminder + Starter Kit Perk
Quick housekeeping before I let you go:
💌 This is the LAST week to redeem your Bonus Days coupon codes. They expire on the 28th. Don’t leave free money sitting there.
🎁 It’s also the last chance to get the Stampin’ Up! stamp positioner tool in your Starter Kit. I totally forgot to mention that during the live, so I’m telling you here. If you’ve been even slightly thinking about joining for the discount alone… this is a solid time.
Final Thoughts
This suite is elegant without being fussy. You can:
Keep it flat for mailing
Add dimension for wow factor
Mix sentiments with other stamp sets
Stretch that designer paper in a dozen ways
