Candy Cane Season Wine Tag

Hello and Happy Tuesday! Thanks for stopping by, I hope today has found you well. It was quite cold, even down right frigid here in CNY, but on the plus side, it didn't snow and it didn't rain, 2 things we have had WAY too much of around here. Don't get me wrong, seeing all the sadness out of places like Cali, with the fires and devastation that they have experienced. I don't like to complain about it, but I will just say, I was grateful for today.

Anyhoo, I have a fun project to share with you all today that I made during my Facebook Live over on my business page (check it out if you'd like). It's a fun Wine Bottle tag I made using the Candy Cane Season bundle from the 2018 Holiday Catalog. And not only is it a fun tag, but it's very quick and simple to put together.
To start, you will need 2 pieces of Designer Series Paper cut 3" x 12" (I used the All is Bright from the Holiday Catalog) and you will score it the entire length at 1/2" intervals. Once you have all your scoring complete, you will accordion fold both pieces. Add Tear & Tape to the ends of one and adhere the 2 pieces together to create the "rosette". Punch out 3 circles using the 1 3/4" Circle punch from Shaded Spruce cardstock, add hot glue to 2 of them and place on the front and back to hold the "rosette" in place (be sure to add your ribbon loop to the back circle before you place it onto the "rosette". Next, layer a Pearlized doily and the 3rd circle punch to the front of the "rosette" and stamp the candy cane in Real Red ink onto Whisper White and punch out with the coordinating candy cane builder punch. Add to the front of the tag with mini Stampin' Dimensionals. Then stamp the sentiment in Shaded Spruce ink onto scrap Whisper White and cut down and add an angle to the right end and add to the tag with Dimensionals. You are now ready to suspend your tag from a bottle of wine or a gift package or even use as an ornament on a tree.
I hope you enjoyed today's project and are inspired to give this a try (just be careful with the hot glue - don't ask! If you choose to visit my FB page and watch the video you'll see what I mean) In the meantime, if you enjoy receiving tutorials such as this directly to you inbox, join my mailing list here. I am currently working on the 12 weeks of Christmas, and week 10 will be going out on Friday, so don't miss out! Oh, and be sure to stop back Thursday because I will have another cute project featuring this fun bundle! In the meantime,
Happy Stamping,

Spirited Snowmen - Fun and Festive

Good Morning and TGIF! Wow, is it me or did November just fly by? It's been a bit of a whirl wind that's for sure. My trip to sunny Orlando just a few short weeks ago, on one hand seems like a life time ago, but on the other seems like it was just a couple of days ago. I know with this current non-stop snow we're getting here in the Northeast, I'm REALLY wishing I was back in sunny Orlando that's for sure!

Anyhoo, with the end of November here, so is the end of the gorgeous Snowflake Showcase suite of product! The gorgeous White Velveteen Sheets are already sold out, but at this movement everything else is still available, but it all goes away forever after midnight MT tonight! So, if you've been wanting it and holding off, now is NOT the time to hold off. Just sayin'.

Well today I have a cute card to share with you that I did for my tutorial co-op that I belong to with a group of other demonstrators. It's great, we each create one project and write up a tutorial then we have access to all of the tutorials to share with our customers and readers. It's a great time saver that's for sure. But anyhoo, this is the one I shared with the group and it's using the adorable, Spirited Snowmen stamp set. And recently, someone very observant pointed out that this stamp set is NOT Christmas specific and can be used ALL winter season! And that is SO true. None of the sentiments are specific to Christmas! And just by changing up the colors you could easily make this a Birthday card or any other winter occasions card....I'm even thinking Anniversary with the snow couple in this set! Yes, my 25th wedding anniversary is coming up December 18th, soooooo, we'll see! If I do choose this set, I will be sure to share the results with you. But anyway, I veered off topic here, so let's get to today's card.
Now isn't this little skater adorable? I just love him. Anyhoo, to recreate this card, you do need a few things, I started with a card base of Old Olive measuring 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored and folded at 4 1/4". I layered a piece of DSP from the Mistletoe collection found in the Annual catalog that measures 4" x 5 1/4". I then cut a piece of Whisper White 3" x 4" and stamped the snowman and the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored him in with my Stampin' Blends Markers The colors that I used are the Dark Crumbcake, Dark Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive Light and Dark, Real Red Light and Dark and Dark Smokey Slate. I then added a 1 1/2" x 4" piece of Real Red cardstock and tore the left edge off and attached to the left side of the Whisper White and added it to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I hope today's card warmed you up. And remember, today is the last day to grab those beautiful snowflakes.

Happy Stamping,

Timeless Tidings With a Twist

Hello and Happy Thursday my friends! Thank you so much for stopping by my blog this morning. I have a fun project I want to share with you using the Timeless Tidings stamp set. It's a fun fold that has been around for a long time that seems to have faded off the card making radar and I thought this was a great time to resurrect it. It's called a Twist and Fold card and it's so easy to make.
To recreate this card, all you need is a half sheet of cardstock measuring 4 1/4" x 11" scored on the diagonal from one corner to the opposite corner and fold. Use your bone folder to make a nice crease. Then, where the "natural v" shape forms, score and fold in the center of the "v". This creates the shape of the card. I then cut a piece of Festive Farmhouse DSP 4" x 10 1/2" and instead of scoring and folding, I cut it on the diagonal then turned it onto itself as though I were going to fold it up (just like I did for the card base) and where the natural "v" formed, I cut it in the center.
I then attached each of the pieces to the coordinating angles on the card base using Snail adhesive. I then stamped the sentiment from Timeless Tidings, in Cherry Cobbler ink onto some scrap Whisper White and punched it out using the Pretty Label punch. I punched out a circle from a scrap piece of Grey Granite using the 1 3/4" Circle punch and attached the sentiment and added it to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals. I then tied a double bow using the Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine from the Festive Farmhouse Collection and attached it to the card using a Mini Glue Dot. The folds of this card create a pocket on the front of the card and on the inside, perfect for a gift card or money

I hope you enjoyed today's card share and I again thank you for stopping by, your support means the world to me.
