Color Your Seasons Fall Falling Leaves

Hello and Happy Thursday! Well we have another week winding down and today I have a fun card to share with you using the awesome, but limited edition, Color Your Seasons bundle. This card has a fun Fall twist, using Stampin' Blends to color the leaves.
I began with a standard card base of Crumb Cake, measuring 8.5" x 5.5" scored and folded at 4.25".  My Stampin' Blend colors are, the light and dark Daffodil Delight and light and dark Cherry Cobbler after I stamped my image onto a Whisper White panel of 5" x 3.75" with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I then layered it onto a Merry Merlot panel measuring 5.1/8" x 3.7/8". This card went together rather quickly including the coloring. I added a button from the True Gentleman Button collection along with a double bow made from Linen Thread to finish it off. This truly is a stamp set that will carry you from season to season and has so many possibilities that it really should be on you list of MUST haves!
Happy Stamping,

Center Step Gift Card Holder with Coffee Cafe

Hello and Happy Tuesday! I hope you are all off to an amazing week. I know I am. I recently received my holiday pre-order and OH EM GEE! You need to be sure to head over to my FB page and check out my haul video I did live! Wow...just wow! Once again, Stampin' Up! knocked it out of the park! I will start sharing some sneak peeks over the next week or so here, but today, I want to share this fun Center Step Gift Card Holder with you! I just love how this turned out. I got my inspiration from Mary Lee at Splitcoast Stampers.
To create this card, you will need a half sheet of Soft Suede cardstock 8.5" x 5.5"and your Stampin' Trimmer. Place the 5.5" edge up against the top of the trimmer and line the right edge upto the 1" mark to the right of the trimmer blade, cut from the 1" mark on the trimmer arm to the 5.25" mark. Flip the cardstock and do the same thing on the opposite side.  Now, turn the cardstock with the 8.5" edge to the top of the trimmer and score at 1"; 2" and 5.25" on the outside of each of the cut lines you made above. Then score between the cut lines at 4.25". Once you have all of your cut and fold lines done, fold the center into a mountain fold as well as the top of the "armatures" then the bottom of the "armatures" into a valley and the final score line will be a mountain fold.
Next, cut a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock 3.25" x 3" and layer a piece of the Natures Poem DSP cut 3" x 2.75"and adhere to the card front. Then, stamp the coffee cup onto a scrap piece of Crumb Cake with Crumb Cake ink, stamp the label, sentiment and lid in Soft Suede and cut all pieces with the coordinating dies and adhere to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals, taking care not to adhere the cup to the "armature" preventing the card from opening. Next, cut a piece of Whisper White 5.25" x 4" and with the 4" edge to the top of the trimmer, score at 1" . Fold up and add adhesive to each end to seal creating a pocket for a gift card. Stamp the coffee beans in a random pattern along the "pocket" and adhere the panel inside the card. And that my friends, completes our project today. I hope you enjoyed today's card. If you have any questions, please let me know as I would love to answer them for you.

White Wash with the Color Your Seasons Bundle

Hello and Happy Tuesday! I hope you are all off to an amazing week. It's been a busy one so far for me, that's for sure. My full-time work sure does take up a lot of my time so, I have to sneak in crafty episodes wherever I can.

Tomorrow the limited edition bundle, Color Your Seasons goes live for customers. I just LOVE this bundle and you will too. The dies provide stitching on the inside and outside, so your die cut piece has stitching and so does the negative so you can use that as a decorative piece too! And this stamp set, the images are just stunning! I love them, but most especially this gorgeous floral. If anyone happens to know what flower this is, I would love to know, so please comment below what you believe this flower to be because, I think my garden really needs this added to it!

Anyhoo, I did play with this image after I completed my demonstrator swaps,(I will share once all the swaps are returned in the next few days) and I decided to do a white wash. I started with a panel of Basic Black that I prepped with my Embossing Buddy and stamped with my Versamark ink. I heat embossed the image with Whisper White embossing powder and then to color the image in, I used a watercolor paintbrush and the Whisper White Craft Ink re-inker. I carefully painted in each petal, the leaves and stems, being careful to remain inside the embossed lines. I allowed the image to dry, and then I ran it through the Big Shot with the largest of the layering stitched shapes from the Stitched Seasons Framelits collection. I added this to a Lovely Lipstick card base using Stampin' Dimensionals. I then stamped the sentiment onto a scrap piece of Whisper White that I hand trimmed with my paper snips and added to the front with another Dimensional. As I continue to look at it, the more I think I need to add a little bling with a few Basic Rhinestones? What do you think? But, overall, I'm pretty happy with it.

Stay tuned, as tomorrow this bundle will be available along with a special limited edition release of some brand new watercolor pencils (although I didn't use them in this project, I included the link for them below)! These will be while supplies last so don't wait, they will not last long!

Happy Stamping,
