Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving! Although it looks a little more like Christmas with all of the snow that fell...4 1/2 feet to be exact, there is certainly is much to be thankful for. Hubby has to work today so I plan to spend the day with my mom and dad and I am so looking forward to turkey dinner. My favorite is mom's stuffing! YUM! What's your favorite Thanksgiving dish?
Today's card uses the new dynamic embossing folder, Cable Knit as the focal point. I truly love this new folder as it has so much dimension to it. Can we say AWESOME! (Just a little hint...there will be another Dynamic Embossing folder coming in the new Occasion's Catty) sshhh, don't tell!

So, again, leave me your thoughts and next month I will be getting the new Occasions' Catalog out to you. If you have placed an order with me in the past year, you will automatically receive a catalog from me, if not and you would like a catalog, please e mail me and I will get one out to you as soon as they are available to send.

Happy Stamping,

Oh What Fun!

Weel, happy Tuesday! I hope this finds you well. We are in the process of digging our way out of this incredible snow storm that hit us here in Central NY. We ended up with a grand total of about 4 feet! Amazing...we didn't get this much snow all winter last year! Oh well, I guess "thems the breaks" right? Anyway, here is a card I put together and wanted to share. Again, this came from a sketch challenge taking place on my Facebook page (feel free to join us any time)

This was a fun card to put together. I just love this DSP stack from the holiday catalog and the pop of gold glimmer just set it off. What are your thoughts? I would love to hear what you think, so please leave a comment below. In the meantime, enjoy your day whether you are basking in the warm sun or digging your way out of a snow bank.
Happy Stamping,
Katrina

The Christmas Mouse

Hello again! Well, it's cold and blustery here today with our first snow fall of the season. I'm thankful it's not sticking yet, I need new tires for my Jeep and can't get them until tomorrow. Once that happens, what ever happens, happens.
Anyhoo, I have a card I want to share with you that I made using the Merry Mice stamp set and water colored using Wink of Stella rather than water! I know! Crazy, right? But it worked and it's so sparkly! I just love it!

The close up shot shows the sparkle a little more. It still doesn't do this card any justice. I started with a standard card base of Emerald Envy and layered a piece of Presents and Pinecones DSP cut at 3 3/4" x 5" and 2 pieces of Cherry Cobbler cardstock cut 3" square. I stamped the image onto Watercolor paper (I used my MISTI to stamp the image 3 times to get a nice dark crisp image) using Basic Black Archival ink, and I stamped the sentiment with the same. I then colored the image using the clear Wink of Stella glitter pen using Cherry Cobbler, Emerald Envy, Mint Macaron, Delightful Dijon, his nose is Basic Grey, inside ears, Pink Pirouette, and his body is Smoky Slate. The star and the gold parts of the ornament are done in gold Wink of Stella.
I hope you enjoyed today's card. Please leave a comment below, I would love to here what you think.
Happy Stamping,
