The Count Down Continues with Springtime Foils

Hello and Happy Tuesday! It's actually beginning to look like Spring is going to make an appearance here in CNY! Well, it's about time that's for sure. Anyway, along with Spring coming in, Sale-a-bration is on it's way out! Really, in all seriousness, Sale-a-bration ends Saturday, so if there is anything in that brochure that is on your wishlist's, you need to make your move now. Because, once Sale-a-bration is over, it's gone, never to be seen again (unless you like shopping with unscrupulous sellers on Ebay paying a mint for something you could have gotten for FREE - yeah, I didn't think so)
Anyhoo, today's card focuses on one of my FAVORITE Sale-a-bration offerings, the Springtime Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper. This stuff is just gorgeous and it's a dream to work with. It's smooth, but the foiling is textured. It's just gorgeous. I spent the other night just coloring an entire sheet of this paper while sitting and watching television with my husband and the next day, I cut it down to 4" x 5.25"and created my card. For the layout, I used the sketch challenge over on my Facebook page.
We had a lot of fun with this sketch over there. (Stop over and take a look at all the other fun samples using the sketch...we have some pretty talented folks on my page). To color the paper, I used my Stampin' Blends. These are the perfect markers for this task because the paper is glossy and a bit on the "non-porous side, the alcohol based ink in the Blends allows for good coverage and will actually dry on this paper where as other markers would remain wet and wipe off when you touched the ink. Once I adhered the colored DSP to the card front of Rich Razzleberry cut 5.5" x 8.5"; scored and folded at 4.25", I cut a square from a piece of Bronze Foil paper measuring 2.25" square, cut on the diagonal to create the triangles and ran both pieces through the Petal Pair embossing folder to add texture to them and adhered them to opposing corners of the card front. I then stamped the sentiment from Hold on to Hope stamp set in Rich Razzleberry ink onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock measuring 2" x 3.25"and added the corner design from the same stamp set and adhered the panel onto a piece of Rich Razzleberry that measures 2.25" x 3.5". I popped this piece up on Dimensionals and added it to the center of the card. It was really a simple card to create but it really packs a WOW and this paper really can stand alone without the coloring, I just decided to sit and relax one evening and color....yes, I find coloring relaxing! I hope you enjoyed today's card and it encourages you to do a little coloring. And remember, if you would love to get your hands on this GORGEOUS paper, it's FREE with a $50 purchase and after Saturday, it will be gone forever. Sad, I know, but true so don't wait! Be sure to use the host code on the right side of your screen to receive a FREE gift from me as well. If you're looking to get your hands on some free tutorials, please sign up to receive my weekly newsletter, we have lots to share with you. Sign up here. Now, go pull out some paper, ink and your favorite stamps and I will see you back here Thursday for another Sale-a-bration favorite.
In the meantime, wishing you all an amazing day and Happy Stamping,

Coloring Petal Passions Designer Paper

Hello and Happy Thursday....from Central New York! Yes, I am finally home from Kansas City. You know the saying, "it's nice to go, but nice to be home", well, there is a whole lot of truth to that. I am so happy to be home. I missed my  little Tucker dog terribly and hubby too of course.
Anyhoo, I have a new card to share with you that I put together that is quick and simple but still packs a wow to it using my Petal Passions DSP and Stampin' Blends!

Directions:

I cut the floral patterned design from the Petal Passions DSP to 3" x 5.25" and colored the flowers in using the light Night of Navy Stampin' Blends pen, the small flowers with the dark Pool Party Stampin' Blends, and the leaves with the dark Old Olive Stampin' Blends pen and adhered it to the Pool Party panel cut 3.25"x 5.5" and wrapped a piece of the Night of Navy Crinkle ribbon and tied a bow. I adhered this panel to a standard Whisper White card base measuring 5.5 x 8.5" scored and folded at 4.25" with Stampin' Dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set, Picture Perfect in Night of Navy Ink onto Whisper White and punched it out using the 2" Circle Punch and layered that onto a piece of Soft Sky, punched out with the Starburst punch and popped it up onto a couple of Stampin' Dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed today's card and it inspires you to pull out your black and white designer series paper to color and change it up. In the meantime, I wish you an amazing rest of your day and happy stamping,

Today, I am featuring the Amazing You stamp set. I absolutely adore this set. This mix of fonts for the sentiments in this stamp set are just amazing.
I pulled my colors from the Designer Series Specialty Paper, Sweet Soirée, from the 2018 Spring Occasions catalog.

Instructions:

Measurements:

Card base: Old Olive 11" x 4.25"
Designer Series Paper: 4" x 5.25"; 2" x 5"
Whisper White: 1" x 4.25"; scraps for the 3 flowers
2.25" Circle Punch

Directions:

Adhere the layers of DSP to the card base with your adhesive of choice. Stamp 2 flower images in Old Olive ink and 1 in Rich Razzleberry. Then, using the light and dark Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends markers, color in all of the flowers. When finished, punch them out with the 2.25" circle punch and arrange them onto the card front, adhere the 2 Old Olive flat to the card and the Rich Razzleberry flower popped up with a Stampin' Dimensional. Finally, stamp the sentiment onto the 1" piece of Whisper White. I uses Rich Razzleberry for "Celebrate" and Old Olive for "You" and adhere that flat to the card, again with your adhesive of choice.

I hope you enjoyed today's card and are finding lots of amazing ideas along the hop. Again, remember, you are currently here at Katrina's Kreative Heart with me, Katrina Wolfe, just use the link below to move along to the next site on the hop.

Glitzy Christmas Sweaters

Hello and Happy Wednesday! It's a rainy one here in Central NY but I guess that beats snow here in this country where we often measure the snow in feet by the time Thanksgiving rolls around.
I know I'm a little out of synch this week with my posts, but with the holiday being tomorrow I thought I would post my Saturday post on Sunday, my Tuesday post today and my normal Thursday post will be Friday. Then Sunday will be a fun blog hop with some amazing crafters that I can't wait to share with you all.
Today's card share uses the Christmas Sweaters stamp set from Stampin' Up! found in the Holiday Catalog

To And of course I had to use the brand new Stampin' Blends Pens to color it in and the white "fur" and whiskers just begged for some glitz and glimmer, so I pulled out my Dazzling Diamonds glitter.

To create this card, I used a standard card base of Cherry Cobbler, 8.5" x 5.5" scored and folded at 4.25". I layered a piece of the Be Merry DSP cut 2.5"x 5.25" onto it. I stamped the santa sweater in Memento Tuxedo Black ink  onto a piece of Whisper White cut 3.25" x 3.5". Of course I pulled out my awesome Stampin' Blends, the Cherry Cobbler duo to color in the ribbing and the hat. And then all of the "fur" and whiskers were calling for glitz and glimmer so I pulled out my Dazzling Diamonds glitter. I layered it onto a piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock cut 3.5" x 3.75" and added it to the card base with Dimensionals.
Finally, I stamped the sentiment onto a strip of Whisper White with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and cut the sentiment into pieces and trimmed them down and attached to to the card using mini Dimensionals.
That's it for today. I hope you enjoyed today's card. I would like to wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving. I would also like to take a minute to let you know how much I truly appreciate each and everyone of you. God Bless and Happy Thanksgiving!

Stampin' Blends and the Wondrous Rose Stamp Set

Hello and Happy Tuesday! Well it's back to grind around here, yesterday I returned to my full-time "real" job after being away for a week. So, it's time to knuckle down and get back to business I guess. Lucky hubby has another day after today before he heads back then it will really be back to normal around here. But, I did squeeze in some crafting time over the weekend and today I want to share with you a card I made using my new Stampin' Blends.

Yes, these new alcohol markers are UH-MAZING! I am totally in love with them and the good news is, they are available to customers beginning tomorrow, November 1st!

And I am starting a Stampin' Blends Club to make it easier for you to get your hands on them, because YOU MUST get your hands on them!
This is a 5 month club and pricing includes shipping directly to you, so, if you are a local customer and would like to pass on the shipping, just let me know and we can arrange for pick up/delivery and subtract $7.20 for the flat rate shipping cost from the total. Below is the flyer explaining the details. I truly hope you will join me in the club because I know you will love them just as much as I do!

Stampin' Up!'s Seasonal Chums Meet the New Blends!

Good Morning and Happy Tuesday! It's a bit of a rainy morning here in Central NY, making it a bit dark this morning, but it sure does make the coffee taste extra good this morning. I have plans to go shopping with a friend later this morning and it's supposed to clear off so that will be good...who wants wet packages? Not me anyway. But, if it doesn't clear off, it won't stop us lol.

Anyway, I'm sure you have heard that Stampin' Up! is introducing new alcohol markers and they will be available to customers November 1st!Well, they gave us demonstrators an opportunity to order them first so that we could play with them and get familiar with them so we would be able to assist you, our customers, so of course I ordered a complete set. OH- EM-GEE! I am in LOVE, that is L. O. V. E., LOVE with these markers! They blend like a dream, there is NO guessing what colors blend together to achieve amazing looks. They are just perfect. One end is a "fine point' nib and the other is a "brush tip" nib so you can get into tight spaces and achieve that "flicking" motion for hair and other "wispy" looks.

I used these amazing markers in today's card project. This project is very simple but still shows the amazing shading and blending you can achieve with these Blends.
I love this stamp set and this little deer is absolutely adorable. And I especially love that these can be tags but just as easily make cards! To color this little guy, I used the Pink Pirouette pair for his inner ears, Crumb Cake for his body, Smokey Slate for his hooves and nose, Cherry Cobbler for his bow and Daffodil Delight for his bell. For his antlers, I used only the light Crumb Cake and then went over it with the Color Lifter to lighten them just a little more. And to finish him off and make him that much more festive, I added Clear Wink of Stella to his tail, spots and bell.
I hope you enjoyed today's card. Please feel free to leave a comment, I would love to read your thoughts.
