How to Make a Fun Plaid Background with the Stampin' Up! Candy Cane Dies

 Hello friends,

I'm back again with a fun card, with a fun background using the Candy Cane dies from Stampin' Up!. The diagonal background die specifically. On it's own, this die cuts out a fun diagonal background for your card fronts, but, if you cut 2 and flip the bottom one over, then adhere the 2 together, you get this really cool "plaid" background! Talk about stretching your dies and your $$s. That's one die and 2 very different looks. I created this card during my Facebook Live and it sure got a lot of oohs and aahs. I hope you like it too and it inspires you to look at your dies and see how many ways you can use them, again, getting more value from them.

12 Weeks of Christmas Kicks Off In One Week and World Card Making Day

 Hey Friends,

So many great things happening in October and I don't want you to miss a thing! So first up, is 1, October 2022 World Card Making Day or WCMD! And Stampin' Up! is holding a great gathering of demonstrators and customers from around the globe to create three cards featuring 3 different bundles, one from our Annual Catalog, one from our July to December Mini catalog aaand one from our up coming January to June Mini Catalog! This event will take place at 4 PM ET until 7 PM ET. You can grab the measurements to cut your cardstock ahead to get ready to stamp along, right here.

Lights Aglow Perfect for Gift Giving

The Lights Aglow Suite of product is another elegant Christmas suite found in the July to December Mimi catalog that is easy to design with. Here I used Basic Black with the Lights Aglow 6" x 6" DSP and Gold Glimmer Paper with the Snowflake die from the Twinkling Lights Dies. This gift box/bag holds a decent amount of treats and would also be great for jewelry and many other smaller gift items. To punch through all the layers of cardstock and DSP, I used my crop-a-dile by We R. then using my Take Your Pick Took, I ran the beautiful Gold and Vanilla Satin Edged Ribbon through the holes and tied a bow to seal the box/bag

More Leaves of Holly

 I love working with the Leaves of Holly bundle. No matter the simplicity of the card, the results are always elegant. I had the privilege of sharing this bundle during my Facebook Live/ YouTube Live stream this week. Whether you're die cutting or stamping, your results are amazing and the Festive Pearls add just enough to the embellished look. 

Here I turned the label on it's side in a portrait orientation for a little bit of a different look. I stamped the berries in Real Red ink onto Real Red cardstock and die cut them out to add to the label with Stampin' Dimensionals.
