A Little Something Different

Hey there! Happy Tuesday! I have a little something new and different to share with you! We all love to make our greeting cards, but it's so much fun to find other things to use our stamps and inks for too. I've made lots of coasters from tile, stamps and ink, and I've stamped on fabric before too. But most recently, over the weekend, I played around with stamping round pieces of wood that I made into Christmas ornaments! I LOVE it! I plan to make lots more of these to offer at the craft fairs that I will be participating in. What do you think?
I used various stamp sets, some even retired but I think my favorites are the ones using the Jar of Cheer stamp set. I even added Fine Tip Glue to a couple of them but I notice that made the ink bleed a bit. Next I am going to try that method with Alcohol based markers such as Sharpies or Spectrum Noir and see if that stops the bleeding. But aren't they just the cutest?
So, tell me, beside greeting cards, what is your favorite surface to stamp on? Leave me comments below.
Happy Stamping!

All About Fall

Well hello and Happy Saturday! It's a pretty dreary day here in CNY. Lots of rain and rather cool, but it does make for a perfect craft day.So that's the plan...craft the day away! In the meantime, I wanted to share a card I made with some great Fall colors using the Totally Trees Stamp set from the Holiday mini catalog. I love this set and I love these colors together.
A list of supplies I used can be found below. The sentiment comes from a retired set from last year.
I also want to remind you of a great deal going on right now, it's the buy 3 get 1 free DSP sale! It's going until the end of this month and this great Petals and Paisley DSP is included in the sale. It's a great pack of paper for Fall projects. Use hostess code: KB6G9AK2 to place your order. I hope you liked today's project and hope you have a great crafty weekend.
Happy Stamping!

Too Stinkin' Cute!

Well, hello again! And here we go again, but yes, I need to apologize for being among the missing once ,again. As they say, "Life Happens"and boy isn't that the truth! Just to share a little, my brother in law was involved in a construction accident where he fell from a ladder and was very seriously injured. He spent 2 weeks in the intensive care unit in Fort Worth Texas, 15,000 miles away from family. Needless to say, life was pretty stressful for some time. But, praise Jesus, he's on the mend. He has a long way to go and a tough road ahead, but I am certain he will make a great recovery. God is good and faithful at all times. So all faith is in Him and I have no doubt he will continue to make leaps and bounds with his rehab. But once again, God showed his faithfulness and the power of prayer in this situation.
Anyhoo, I thought I would share the card I sent to him.
Isn't that skunk just too cute?I love the versatility of this Foxy Friends bundle. There are just so many woodland critters you can make with it. Well, that's all for today. Please let me know your thoughts on the card and until next time, Happy Stamping,

Simply Stated - Fall Edition

Hi there! Another beautiful Fall day here in CNY. Actually, more like summer, but I did get my Fall decorations for the inside out and put around. Next up, the outside. But I did find time to get a card made to share with you. I'm still in love with the Thoughtful Branches stamp set, and good news! It's still available. SU! has decided to make it available as long as supplies last, which won't be much longer, so, I recommend getting it ASAP if it is on your wish list.

This card was so simple to make yet so pretty. I love the Soft Suede along with the Old Olive and so simply lets the recipient know they're in your thoughts. I stamped the line of trees in the Soft Suede after stamping off onto scratch paper, then I stamped the single tree with full strength Soft Suede followed by the evergreen branches in Old Olive. I then stamped the sentiment in Soft Suede and wrapped the Linen Thread around twice and tied a bow. I then adhered that panel to the Old Olive panel and finally adhered all of it to the Whisper White cardbase I had cut 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4"
I hope you enjoyed today's card and I invite you to please leave your thoughts below. Until next time, happy stamping,
