3 Fun & Easy Handmade Cards with the Exciting Times Bundle

If you’ve ever looked at a stamp set and thought, “That’s cute… but can I actually make quick cards with it?” — friend, this week’s projects are for you.

As busy women, we don’t always have hours to spend in the craft room. Sometimes we just want to sit down with a cup of coffee, create something beautiful, and feel that little spark of creativity again without making a huge mess or overthinking every detail.

That’s exactly why I loved creating with the Exciting Times Bundle this week. These cards are simple, beginner-friendly, and come together quickly, but they still have those little “wow” details that make handmade cards feel extra special.

From layered designer paper to easy punch shapes and dimensional details, these projects prove you don’t need complicated techniques to create cards you’ll actually be excited to send.

Why the Exciting Times Bundle Is Perfect for Busy Cardmakers

One of my favorite things about this bundle is the coordinating punch. If you’ve been around here for a while, you already know I LOVE a good punch bundle because they make crafting fast and frustration-free.

No complicated die cutting.
No machines.
No tiny pieces to lose.

Just stamp, punch, and create.

The sentiments in this set are versatile enough for birthdays, celebrations, thank you cards, and everyday encouragement, which means you can make several cards at once and keep them on hand for those moments when life sneaks up on you and suddenly you need a card right now.

Card #1: A Simple Floral Birthday Card

The first project featured a beautiful floral pattern from the Bloom Boutique Designer Series Paper pack paired with the new Peaceful Pine and Crisp Cantaloupe colors.

The layout itself is incredibly simple:

  • A layer of designer paper
  • A stamped and punched sentiment
  • A touch of linen thread

That’s it.

But those little details — especially the soft bow and rounded rectangle punch — make the card feel polished and intentional.

This is one of those layouts you could easily recreate with scraps from your stash, which makes it perfect for:

  • Batch cardmaking
  • Beginner stampers
  • Using up leftover DSP
  • Quick birthday cards to keep on hand

And honestly? The floral paper does most of the heavy lifting here.

Card #2: Adding Easy Dimension Without Complicated Techniques

The “Let’s Celebrate” card might be my favorite because it shows how one tiny detail can completely change a project.

The center sentiment piece is popped up inside a layered frame, creating dimension without adding bulk or complicated folds.

This card also mixed patterns from the Paper Medley Designer Series Paper pack:

  • Polka dots
  • Denim texture
  • Soft florals

Mixing patterns can feel intimidating, but here’s the trick:
Stick to coordinating colors and vary the scale of the patterns.

That’s exactly what makes this card work so well.

The finishing touches — rhinestones and a Hydrangea Hue ribbon bow — add softness and elegance while still keeping the design clean and simple.

If you’ve ever felt nervous about layering patterned paper, this is a great card layout to try.

Card #3: Dress Up Your DSP with a White Gel Pen

This final thank you card is proof that even the simplest supplies can create a big impact.

One of the standout details was adding faux stitching with the new white gel pen on the Pretty Peacock paper piece.

And let me tell you…
I am obsessed with this white gel pen.

It’s one of those little tools that instantly makes your cards look more custom and handmade without requiring advanced techniques.

A few reasons I love faux stitching:

  • Adds texture without sewing
  • Makes flat cards more visually interesting
  • Great for scrapbook layouts too
  • Easy for beginners

This card also used several punched DSP rectangles layered together for a fun collage effect. It’s a fantastic way to use small paper scraps instead of letting them pile up in your craft room.

(And if your scrap bins are overflowing like mine… this card style is calling your name.)

Simple Cardmaking Still Counts

I think sometimes we convince ourselves that cards have to be elaborate to be meaningful.

But the truth is:
The people receiving your cards are not judging your layering techniques or how many dies you used.

They’re feeling loved because you took the time to make something with your own hands.

That’s the magic of handmade cards.

So if you’re in a season of life where time feels limited, energy feels stretched thin, or creativity feels hard to access — let simple be enough.

Because simple can still be beautiful.

Want to Create These Cards Yourself?

The Exciting Times Bundle is a fantastic addition to any craft room, especially if you love:

  • Quick cards
  • Punch bundles
  • Easy layouts
  • Beginner-friendly projects
  • Versatile sentiments

And if you missed this week’s live, don’t worry — you can still catch the replay and get inspired to create your own versions.

I’d love to know:

Masculine Cards Made Simple with the Waterside Retreat Suite

If you’ve ever sat down to make a masculine card and immediately felt stuck… you’re not alone.

Masculine cards can feel tricky. No florals, no frills… and suddenly we’re second-guessing everything.

But this week’s Waterside Retreat Suite makes it so much easier—and honestly? It might become your go-to for all those “guy cards” we tend to put off.

From peaceful lake scenes to rustic textures and nautical accents, this suite does most of the work for you. And in this week’s live, I shared three simple but wow cards that you can recreate quickly—even on a busy weeknight.

Let’s break them down.

1. Let the Paper Do the Work

The first card is proof that you don’t need complicated techniques to create something beautiful.

That lakeside cabin scene? It’s straight from the Designer Series Paper.

All I did was:

  • Layer it on coordinating cardstock
  • Add a simple sentiment
  • Finish with one of those adorable anchor trinkets

Done.

👉 Tip: When your paper is this detailed, don’t overthink it. Let it shine.

2. Create a Simple Collage for Interest

The second card uses a totally different approach—but it’s just as easy.

Instead of one focal image, we:

  • Cut out smaller panels from the DSP
  • Layered them into a casual collage
  • Added a die-cut Adirondack chair
  • Finished with a “Relax” sentiment

This gives the card a laid-back, coastal vibe that feels thoughtful without being fussy.

👉 Tip: Collages are perfect when you can’t pick just one pattern—use a few and make it look intentional.

3. Add Texture for a Storytelling Card

The third card might be my favorite—it tells a whole story.

We’ve got:

  • A rustic woodgrain background
  • A stamped and colored Adirondack chair
  • Little details like seagrass and a book
  • A soft linen thread bow

And the sentiment?
“Here’s to a new chapter.”

This one works beautifully for:

  • Retirement
  • New beginnings
  • Life transitions

👉 Tip: Small details (like twine or layered die cuts) add dimension without adding complexity.

Why This Suite Works So Well

Here’s the truth: this suite is basically the easy button.

You’ve got:

  • Pre-designed panels
  • Coordinating dies and stamps
  • Neutral, masculine-friendly colors
  • Ready-to-use embellishments

It takes the guesswork out of designing—and that’s exactly what we need when time is limited.

Coming Soon: Class to Go Collaboration

I’m really excited about this…

This bundle will be featured in this month’s Class to Go, and I’m teaming up with my friend Cyndy from Stamping the Wilde Way for it 💙

We’re still finalizing the details, but if you loved these cards, you’re going to LOVE what we have planned.

👉 Keep an eye on your email—we’ll be sharing all the details soon.

Don’t Miss Stampin’ Bingo Next Week

Quick heads up—next Sunday is a little different!

Instead of our usual live, we’ll be hosting a Stampin’ Bingo Night inside a private Facebook group.

Here’s how it works:

  • Place a $25 order → get a set of Bingo numbers
  • OR grab numbers for $5
  • We’ll play multiple rounds
  • You can win prizes 🎉
  • Plus… mystery stamping and lots of fun

All the details will be sent out in email, so make sure you’re on the list.

Final Thoughts

If you’ve been avoiding masculine cards, this is your sign to stop.

Simple layouts + great paper = cards you’ll actually enjoy making.

And honestly… that’s what this hobby should feel like.

💬 I’d love to hear from you—

Pop-Up Petals Made Easy: 3 Simple Cards with Big Impact

If you’ve ever wanted to try an interactive card but thought, “That looks complicated,” today’s projects are about to change your mind.

This week on Stampin’ Sundays, I featured the Pop-Up Petals Bundle and paired it with the Lovely Blossoms Designer Series Paper—and let me tell you, this combo is a win. These three cards prove you can create beautiful, eye-catching cards without complicated steps or hours at your craft table.

One card includes a fun pop-up surprise on the inside, while the other two keep things intentionally simple and clean. Perfect for beginners, busy stampers, or anyone who just wants pretty cards without the stress.

Why the Pop-Up Petals Bundle Is Worth a Look

The star of this bundle is the clever pop-up die. It creates the mechanism for you—no measuring, no guessing, no frustration. Once you see how it works, you’ll immediately start thinking about all the other stamp sets you could use it with.

Even better? The stamps themselves are soft, versatile, and ideal for everyday cards like thank-you, friendship, and encouragement.

Let the Paper Do the Work

I paired the bundle with the Lovely Blossoms Designer Series Paper, and this paper pack deserves a moment in the spotlight.

One of my favorite features is the built-in panel designs. With a few simple cuts, you get:

  • 3" × 4" panels

  • 2" × 2" accent squares

  • Coordinated patterns that layer effortlessly

That means less cutting, less decision-making, and more time actually enjoying the creative process.

Card #1: Thanks for Being There (Pop-Up Fun!)

This card looks clean and simple on the outside—but when you open it, surprise! A sweet floral pop-up greets you.

The pop-up die does all the hard work, creating a sturdy fold that pops up smoothly every time. Add a stamped vase and floral image, and you’ve got an interactive card that feels special without being complicated.

💡 Tip: Once you own this die, try it with other florals, animals, or even seasonal images. It’s far more versatile than it looks.

Card #2: You Get Me & I Appreciate That

This one is my easy-peasy queen card.

Designer Series Paper takes center stage here, layered over a simple cardstock mat. The sentiment is die-cut with a soft arch shape and popped up with dimensionals for just enough interest.

This layout is perfect when:

  • You’re short on time

  • You need multiples

  • You want something clean, modern, and heartfelt

Card #3: Grateful for Your Friendship

For this final card, I mixed two of the DSP panels together to create a layered background—proof that even the smallest pieces of paper can shine.

A stamped vase, simple floral coloring, and a sweet butterfly finish it off. Nothing fussy. Nothing overdone. Just a warm, thoughtful card that works for so many occasions.

Great for Beginners (and Busy Stampers!)

If you’re newer to stamping or feeling creatively tired, these projects are a great reminder that cards don’t have to be complicated to be beautiful.

  • Simple layouts

  • Minimal coloring

  • Smart dies that do the work for you

That’s a crafting win in my book.
