We'll Walrus Be Friends Flip Card

Hello and Happy Thursday! Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me here! I am back today with a super cute project! This card is completely inspired by Tami White who is currently enjoying the well deserved Stampin' Up! cruise of the Greek Isles. A very dear friend shared Tami's video tutorial with me, and I completely fell in love with this flip card and knew immediately I wanted to try it with this adorable stamp set, We'll Walrus Be Friends!

For this card, you will need a card base in Pretty Peacock measuring 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored and folded at 4 1/4"
A layer of Whisper White cut using the largest rectangle in the Stitched Rectangles collection
A layering piece of the 2019-2021 InColor DSP cut with the second largest rectangle in the Stitched Rectangles collection
A piece of Pretty Peacock cut 6 1/4" x 2" (this will create your pull) scored at 2" and 2 1/4"
A piece of Pretty Peacock cut with the largest square in the Stitched Shapes Collection, a second one cut from the second largest square from the same collection
A piece of Whisper White cut from the second largest and third  largest stitched squares in the Stitched Shapes collection
Scraps to stamp our image and gasp...we will need to fussy cut him!

Using the Classic Label punch, punch out the center from the DSP and set aside. Add the large Whisper White panel to the card front and set aside. Stamp the Walrus in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a scrap piece of Whisper White and color him in using the light and dark Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends and fussy cut him out. Next stamp the sentiment onto the largest Whisper White square and adhere to the largest stitched Pretty Peacock square. Then stamp the second sentiment onto the smallest Whisper White stitched square and layer it to the second Pretty Peacock square.

Now, you will punch the "pull" with the Delightful Tag Topper punch and adhere the smaller set of stitched squares to the the opposite end of the pull (you will notice a "square" at the end created from your score lines. This is where you will attach the panel. Now add some adhesive to the center of the 2 score lines (preferably Tear & Tape) and adhere the left edge of the larger stitched squares to this. Now, thread the pull through the opening created in the DSP and adhere the DSP to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals, making sure to keep the pull free to move. Thread some of the ribbon through the hole in the pull and tie a bow around it using the Whisper White Bakers Twine.
Okay, go ahead, pull and push and pull again.....isn't it a hoot? I just love these guys and I love this flip card.
I hope this inspires you to give it a try. You'll love it, I'm sure. If you enjoyed this card, feel free to join my mailing list to receive tutorials such as this directly to your inbox each week. You can subscribe right here

Sweet Treat Holder Featuring We'll Walrus Be Friends

Good morning and Happy Tuesday! I have a really fun little treat holder to share with you today that features my product pick for this week, We'll Walrus Be Friends. I fell in love with this set the minute I saw it in the catalog. I think this little guy is just absolutely ADORBS! I mean, really! Look at his little "fat rolls" and that sweet face! I just love him!
So, this tiny treat holder holds 2 Dove chocolate squares and is just so easy to make! Be sure to check out my video tutorial. But, here you will find all of the measurements you need to recreate this cutie pie!
To start, you will need a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) that measures 2" x 5"(I used Woven Threads). With the 2" edge at the top of your scoring tool, you will score at 1 5/8" then rotate so that the opposite 2" edge is at the top of the scoring tool and score again at 1 5/8". Then, turn to the 5" edge and score at 2" and 3", then you are going to make partial score lines just to the intersecting lines at 1 1/2" and 3 1/2" from both the top and bottom. Now, you will want to trim away the tiny rectangles created by the partial score lines at all 4 corners. Finally, snip up the remaining score lines up to the the intersecting score lines to create tabs.
Next, insert the 2 long ends into the Delightful Tag Topper punch and punch each end. Add adhesive to the tiny tabs and assemble the treat holder. Add your chocolates and run a piece of ribbon through the holes created by the tag punch and tied a piece of Woven Twine around it. Then, I decorated mine with this adorable Walrus from the We'll Walrus Be Friends. I colored him in with my light and dark Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends and then....gasp...I fussy cut him out! Yes, if you know me well at at all, you know how much I hate to fussy cut, but he was pretty easy and I didn't mind at all.
I then stamped my sentiment onto a piece of scrap Whisper White and trimmed it out and bannered one end and added it to the front of my Walrus with a little Snail.

July Paper Pumpkin!

Hey all, Happy Friday! I hope everyone fared well through your July 4th celebrations? It was brutally warm here in CNY...much warmer than what we're used to that's for sure. But it didn't stop the little's from running around and playing ball and corn hole and whatever other games they came up with. I was exhausted just watching them!
Anyhoo, I wanted to jump on here and remind you that the July Paper Pumpkin promises to be SUPER UH-MAZING! It is going to coordinate with 3 of our Annual Catalog suites which just so happen to be some of the most popular suites at that! It's going to coordinate with the Come Sail Away suite, the Garden Lane Suite and Woven Stitches Suite. Now, the thing is, these coordinate, however, you don't HAVE to have these suites to complete the projects, They are a stand alone in that respect, but if you happen to have any of these suites, that just opens the door to endless possibilities with this kit.
If this kit intrigues you as much as it does me and you aren't already a current subscriber, then you MUST subscribe by the deadline of July 10th. If you're unsure about subscribing to Paper Pumpkin, there is no obligation. You can cancel anytime. You can also hold a month if you don't think you can get to a kit that month and of course their is always a pre-paid subscription. Those come in 1 month, 3; 6 and 12 month subscriptions! So, if you just want to try it out, get a 1 month pre-paid and see what  it's like to receive that adorable orange box full of amazing craftiness in you mailbox and then decide if you want to jump in with a continuous subscription or maybe a longer pre-paid. Either way, I KNOW you will love receiving this amazing box each month. It's perfect for ALL levels of crafters, from beginner to advanced. Each box contains a high quality photopolymer stamp set, one or two ink spots (it's a GREAT way to expand your ink collection) all of the materials needed to complete the projects including glue dots and dimensional adhesive, embellishments (they often include extras) and full color instructions...but feel free to let your creative juices take over and create your own projects with all of the supplies in the kit or even add in some of your own stuff for even more versatility. And, when you purchase your Paper Pumpkin from me or any of my team, you receive access to my Paper Pumpkin Facebook group. And starting with the July kit, the last Friday of every month, we will do a FB Live in that group and we can do our kit's together and we can share alternate projects as well.
So, what are you waiting for? Give it a try!

Parcels & Petals - July 4th Celebration

Happy 4th of July! Yes, here in the US it's a big deal here today as we celebrate the birth of our nation. And, yes, I am a proud American! And as such, I decided to make a card featuring the Parcels & Petals stamp set to thank those who make it possible for us to celebrate a day like today.
I love Blueberry Bushel with Real Red and Whisper White. They go so well together!

Card Recipe:

Card Base: Blueberry Bushel 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Real Red Layer: 5" x 3 3/4"
Whisper White layer: 4 3/4" x 3 1/2"
Using the large 3 petal image from the stamp set, I stamped it on the top left and right and bottom left in Blueberry Bushel ink. I then added the sentiment in Real Red and adhered the layers together with Snail. A very quick card with only stamps, ink and paper!

We're off to a big cook out with family and friends. How are you celebrating the July 4th holiday?
Happy Stamping my friends!
