Blueberry Bushel and Lemon Lime Twist meet Varied Vases

Hello and Happy Thursday! Well, it's another one of THOSE weeks. Our hospital is currently undergoing accreditation and the stress levels have been running HIGH...OH MY! And it's been a really long week..and to top it all off, we get to make another attempt at heading to Mobile, Al Monday....I'm hoping this is "3rd time's a charm" otherwise, I hope it's "3 strikes and you're out" because this is just crazy.....I have actually attempted to write this post every day since Tuesday!
Anyway, onto the fun stuff! I am so in love with the Varied Vases bundle. It is one of those stamp sets that makes creating a beautiful card almost mindless! What I mean by that is there is little to no effort required to make a beautiful card with this set. Grab a few awesome colors that you love, some paper and go to town. The designs are endless and everyone turns out amazing...like I said, NO EFFORT! Now who wouldn't want that?

Instructions:

Ok, now here are all the deets for re-creating this card:

2018-2020 In Color DSP 6" x 6" Paper Pack: scrap

Run the 5.25" x 4" layer of Lemon Lime Twist through the Big Shot with the Polka Dot embossing folder and adhere the layers together. Stamp the sentiment from the Varied Vases stamp set in Blueberry Bushel ink and layer it onto the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals. Punch out the vase using the coordinating Vase Builder punch from a scrap piece of the DSP and stamp the flowers onto the Whisper White square and to color the flower heads, stamp off once with Blueberry Bushel and add a couple of leaves with the Lemon Lime Twist ink. Pop the vase up on Mini Stampin' Dimensionals and add a double bow from Whisper White Bakers Twine and add the the vase with a Glue Dot.

All That's New - A RemArkably Created Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the RemARKably Creative Blog Hop! I am so glad you could join us! This month, our theme is All That's New! We are featuring all new product found in our UH-MAZING new annual catalog and as you hop along with us, you will see some beautiful samples from our very talented demonstrators. Now, you maybe just getting started here on my blog, Katrina's Kreative Heart with me, Katrina Wolfe, or you have come here from the blog before me, either way, if at anytime you get lost or are unsure of where to head to next, just use the links below this post where I have everyone participating in the hop listed. Again, you are here on my blog, Katrina's Kreative Heart with Katrina Wolfe and I hope you enjoy your stop here.

Today, I want to share a fun I card I created with the brand new stamp set, Detailed with Love. This is an awesome bundle found in the Stampin' Up! 2018-2019 Annual Catalog. (Do you have a catalog? If the answer is no and you aren't currently working with a demonstrator already, click here to request a catalog and I will get one out to you - this is a MUST have!) I love this entire suite of product, however, for today's card, I only used the stamp and punch from the bundle and of course I used some of our brand new, gorgeous 2018-2020 In Colors!
To create this card, I started with a standard top folding card base of Basic Gray, measuring 4.5" x 11" scored and folded at 5.5". I then cut a Whisper White square 4" x 4"  and a scrap piece of Whisper White. Before stamping my image, I created a template for my Stamparatus using my grid paper and a 6" x 6" piece of Window Sheet, by drawing out two 4" squares onto the grid paper, one straight and one on the diagonal intersecting one another (I also added 3" squares and 2" squares for future use) - See Video - I then placed the template in the Stamparatus and lined up my 4" piece of Whisper White with the template and began stamping my wreath shape. I added all of the Lovely Lipstick "florals" then adjusted my stamp and then stamped all of the Pineapple Punch "floral", turning my paper, alternating the blue and red template lines as I turned. I then punched the detailed corner punch on all 4 corners and then rounded them all. I attached this to the card base with Snail adhesive. Then, using the Stamparatus, I stamped the oval image from the set onto the scrap piece of Whisper White with Basic Gray ink and ran it through the Big Shot with an oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits. I added this to the card front in the center of the "wreath" using Stampin' Dimensionals. For added zip and glitz, I added Basic Rhinestones to the center of each of the Pineapple Punch "florals" and for a final touch, I wrapped the Lovely Lipstick 1/8" Grosgrain Ribbon around the bottom of the card front and tied it into a knot. I think this color really POPS against the Basic Gray. And that completes today's card.

Thanks so much for taking part in our Blog Hop today, there are so many awesome ideas and lots of inspiration that you won't want to miss; so be sure to use the links below to continue through the hop. Remember, you are currently here on my blog, Katrina's Kreative Heart with Katrina Wolfe.

Varied Vases - CASE*ING The Catalog

Good Afternoon and Happy Wednesday! I know, I'm a day late here, but again, life gets in the way. Yes, I am still dealing with the stolen Instagram account issue. I've now reported the issue through Facebook to see if they can help because my Facebook business page is linked to the stolen account so I am receiving the thief's messages and comments! I really don't need to see or know who thinks the thief is "hot"! Oh yeah, fun times.
Anyhoo, today, I want to share a fun project I made using the awesome Varied Vases stamp set. I actually CASE'd this card straight from the catalog. This set is so versatile and creates some of the most simple yet beautiful cards. It's definitely one you MUST place on your shopping list! It was designed by one of our very own million dollar achievers, Mary Fish. She sure knows what we like!
And of course, I reached for my UH_MAZING new 2018-2019 Annual Catalog for my inspiration and this is what I made. For this card, I started with a card base of Powder Pink, 4" x 8" scored and folded at the 4" mark to create a 4" x 4" top folding card. I then cut down a piece of Grapefruit Grove 3" x 3" and adhered to the front of the card at an angle. I cut a piece of Whisper White 3" x 3" and stamped the large "splay" of flowers with Powder Pink, the flower cluster in Daffodil Delight and the small individual flower outline in Grapefruit Grove ink and then filled in with the solid coordinating stamp with Grapefruit Grove stamped off once. I did this in a random pattern and attached this to the card front straight. I then added a piece of the  Daffodil Delight 1/4" double stitched ribbon with a couple of Glue Dots. I then cut a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock 3/4" x 3 1/2" and stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso ink and added that to the front of the card over the ribbon with a couple of Stampin' Dimensionals. I then made a double bow with the Whisper White Bakers Twine and added it to the front end of the sentiment with a Glue Dot.

To clean my stamps between colors, I used the brand new Simply Shammy! This ranks up there as one of those MUST have tools! I L. O. V. E. the Simply Shammy and you will too! I linked to it down below. But this Shammy is unlike any of the others I have used. It is much thicker than the others and stays wet longer and for cleaning stamps, it's a dream and you only need WATER! Seriously, who knew just plain water and this awesome Shammy could get your stamps so clean..no more muddy stamps! Seriously, this thing makes me do the happy dance. As a matter of fact, I am ordering a couple more to use at my classes! Yes, I like it that much!

I really have enjoyed working with this stamp set and I hope you enjoyed today's card. I would love to hear your thoughts, so please feel free to leave a comment. If you would like to receive weekly information and tutorials, please sign up for my email list. And remember, when you need an idea, just reach for you catalog, there are so many amazing projects featured throughout the pages. If you don't have a catalog and you don't have a demonstrator, feel free to reach out to me and I will get one out to you ASAP. Request a catalog here

Happy Stamping,
