A Good Day for the Guys

Hello and Happy Tuesday! And oh what a happy Tuesday it is.....I got to finally get a sneak peek into the new 2018-2019 Annual catalog! OH-EM-GEE!!! I can't spill any of the beans just yet, but HOLY SMOKES! I just wish I could have gotten to go to the OnStage event but, it just wasn't in the cards...however, I am making a plan to go in November! I just can't stand it! In the meantime, I can tell you, we have a color revamp coming up in the new catalog, and that means some of our old favorites are coming back while some of our current favorites are going away. See the revamp here. I can also share the retirement lists with you too. Keep in mind, stamps will be available through the end of May, however, all non-stamps are while supplies last and much of it will go quickly! Get the Annual Catalog retirement list here and the Occasions Catalog retlist here

Well, as I stated Sunday, I got to spend some time in my craft room over the weekend and I got to play with the A Good Day stamp set again. I love this little stamp set. The images may be small, but they sure are mighty! I wanted a masculine feel for a Thank You card and this set along with the True Gentleman Designer Series Paper, fit the bill.

I started with a piece of Night of Navy cardstock for my card base cute 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored and folded at 4 1/4". I then took a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock cut 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" and ran it through the Big Shot with the Pinewood Planks Dynamic Embossing Folder and adhered it to the card front. I then cut 3 Night of Navy mats, 1 7/8" x 2 5/8" and  pieces of the True Gentleman Designer Series paper and a piece of Very Vanilla 1 3/4" x 2 1/2" and layered them onto the mats. I adhered the 2 pieces with the DSP flat to the card front and popped the piece with the Very Vanilla up on a couple of Stampin' Dimensionals. I then stamped the image from the A Good Day stamp set in Night of Navy ink and punched it out with the 1 3/8: Scalloped Circle Punch and layered it onto a slightly larger scalloped circle I cut using the Layering Circles Framelits collection and popped it up on Dimensionals and added a few loops of the Gold Thread for a bit of texture and interest.

I hope you enjoyed today's card and if you would like to receive tutorials such as this in your inbox, be sure to subscribe to my mailing list by clicking here. In the meantime, have an amazing day and happy stamping,

A Fun Easy Card with the Orange Blossom Stamp Set

Hello there stampers and Happy Sunday! We've been having some bizarre weather here in CNY lately and today was no exception. Snow and wind have been the order of the day, so needless to say, I used that as my excuse for hanging out in my craft room today and one of my fun creations comes from the 2017-2018 Annual Catalog. This time of year we have a tendency to  forget about all of the awesomeness in our Annual Catalog because we're so focused on the Occasions catalog and getting ready for the new annual catalog to come out. So, today, I wanted to give our current catalog some love.
I pulled out the awesome Orange Blossom stamp set and some of our soon to be retiring, amazing 2016-2018 In-colors!
To create the background, I randomly stamped the flower blossom in Peekaboo peach, making sure my pattern was random; and the secret to a good random pattern is to make sure some of the images literally fall off the page as you are stamping them. I then added some random leaves using Emerald Envy ink followed by some random Flirty Flamingo "berry clusters" onto a piece of Whisper White cut 2 1/8" x 5 1/2". I layered this piece onto a piece of Peekaboo Peach cardstock cut 2 3/8" x 5 1/2" and adhered this panel to a standard card base of Flirty Flamingo.
I stamped the "Hey Friend" sentiment from the stamp set in Emerald Envy ink onto a scrap piece of Whisper White and punched it out using the Pretty Label punch and popped it up on some Stampin' Dimensionals and adhered it to the card. I made a bow out of 2 strands of the Flirty Flamingo Bakers Twine and adhered this just above the sentiment using a mini Glue Dot.

Again, this card is quick and easy and I truly hope you enjoyed it. If you enjoy quick and easy card tutorials such as this, please join my newsletter by clicking here.

Happy Stamping!

Apron of Love by Stampin' Up!

The Apron of Love bundle is another of my favorites in the Occasions catalog. This set is just so darn versatile and adorable and can be used for so many. I mean think about it. Think of all the people that you know that wear an apron.
There's your hair dresser (there is even a cute little pair of scissors in the set!) then there's your friendly neighborhood baker, the local butcher, the baker in your family, the family grill master, fellow crafters and stampers may wear an apron, the family cook, the list can go on and on! Who else can you think of that would wear an apron? This truly is one of those "must have's" in your arsenal of stamps and dies. And now is the time to get it if it's on your wishlist. Monday, the retiring list comes out. I have no idea if this set will be on it or not, but if we're lucky and it's not on the list, it will definitely not be a bundle in the up coming catalog and you will no longer be able to save 10% on the purchase of the stamps and dies together.
Happy Stamping!

Retiring In-Colors

Wow, it's already nearing that time of year where we have to say good-bye to some of our most favorite colors for the past 2 years and this year is no exception in the so sad to see them go category. And trust me, these colors are going to sell out FAST! So, today, I want to give you a fair head start because the retiring In-colors NEVER make it to the end of the catalog. The official retirement list will be public early next week. Once that happens, consumables such as ink, paper and embellishments are "while supplies last" and they NEVER last long. So, if any of these products in ANY of these colors are on your wishlist, NOW is the time to grab them because after next week, it's anyone's guess just how long they will be available, but I do know, they will not see 5/31/18. So, be sure to stock up now!
Just use the links below and if your order is under $150, be sure to use this months host code when checking out to be eligible for this months free gift, a package of the Delicate White Doilies. And, if you haven't done so already, be sure to enter the drawing for the Sale-a-bration bundle, Blossoming Basket, you can find that post here.
