Remarkable Ink Big Hop- Sneak Peek

Hey all, welcome to the Remarkable Ink Big blog hop and Happy Mothers Day to all the moms' and furry baby moms too! Yes, I'm a fur baby mom and no, he has no idea he's not a human baby. Even when I want to craft, he's right by my side in his stroller with his chewy bone until he falls asleep! Otherwise, he wants on my lap and that sure does make creating a little challenging!
Anyhoo, this month's hop theme is Sneak Peek! And I am so in love with this new catalog that I just want it ALL! But for today, I want to share a card I made with one of my all time favorite bundles from the pre-order, Daisy Delight and the absolutely awesome 6" x 6" DSP stack, Color Theory. This paper is so rich in color and the design work is amazing with the crackle look and lots of ombre and paint chip looks, I just love it.

I'm really loving this new In-color, Berry Burst too. Look how rich and bright this color is. It literally just pops off the paper and I added a brand new embellishment to the center of my daisy. It is one of the brand new Clear Faceted Gems. I used the largest size. Look how it just sparkles!
Can you see the glitz and glam? They're just beautiful and I know you're going to love them just as much as I do. I hope you liked today's project. Please feel free to leave a comment below and let me know your thoughts on today's offering for the Sneak Peak Hop.
Remember, you are on my blog, Katrina Wolfe -Stampin' n Scrappin' From the Heart, below you will find the list of hoppers, just click the next link in the line up to continue moving throughout the hop for more awesomeness from our talented demonstrators. Shooting Star in Action!

Hi there, can you believe it's Thursday already? Is it me, or is this week just flying by? Maybe it's me? I went back to work Monday after a 2 week stay-cation and I have been playing catch up ever since. Wow, you wouldn't believe how much work piles up on your desk when you're away for a couple of weeks! It was all worth it though that's for sure. Anyhoo, I have a cute card I put together that I wanted to share with you. I had all sorts of intentions of doing a video on this one however, Mother Nature and her power outage over the weekend squashed that idea and there just hasn't been any time since then to pull it together. (The plan now is to just do a craft room tour for you!)
To create this card, I started with a standard Basic Black card base and a piece of Watercolor paper cut at 5.5" x 4.25" and sponged on Marina Mist, Night of Navy, Rich Razzleberry and Daffodil Delight ink. I was very random in how I applied the colors using sponges. I then went over the entire piece with Black Archival ink and sponge. Once I was happy with the amount of coverage I got, I took the White Craft Ink re-inker and placed a few drops into an embellishment container lid and added a bit of water to thin it out; using my Aqua Painter, I picked up the white ink and "flicked" it over the Watercolor piece to create the white splatter you see here.. Once the piece was dry, I used the Big Shot and the Sliding Star Framelit collection to create the round slider channel and popped the pieces up onto the card base using Stampin' Dimensionals. I then stamped the shooting star image onto a piece of scrap Whisper White cardstock with Archival Black ink and colored it in with my Watercolor pencils and added clear Wink of Stella to the stars. I then took 2 shiny new pennies and adhered them together with a Stampin' Dimensional that I had rounded off with my paper snips (this helps the pennies mover around the channel in a smoother motion) and I then adhered the stars to the pennies with another Dimensional and inserted the pennies into the channel. I stamped the sentiment onto a scrap piece of Basic Black cardstock with Versamark ink after I had prepped it with the Embossing buddy. I added Whisper White embossing powder and heat set it with my Heat tool and punched it out with the Classic Label punch and added it to the front of the card with a glue dot.
'And that completes our card for today. I really hope you enjoyed this one and that it inspires you to pull out your supplies and just have fun with them. Mix colors and don't be afraid to reach out of your comfort zone. You just never know what awesomeness will come of it.
Have a great day and Happy Stamping!

Wood Words - A Brand New Bundle Coming in June!

Hello and happy Tuesday! My apologies for missing my normal Saturday post. I spent Friday evening into the wee hours of Saturday morning without power; needless to say, I spent Saturday catching up on all the things I couldn't get done Friday! The joys of country living when you don't have a generator! I'm sure many of you know what I'm talking about. When you live rural as I do and you have no electricity, you have no water either because the water pump that sends the water to your house doesn't run, leaving you high and dry....No pun intended there ha! Anyhoo, I'm back today and I have a brand new bundle to share with you. I absolutely LOVE this set. I think it ranks right up there in my top 5 picks from the new catalog. It's called Wood Words and it's just so stinkin' cute! Today, I have an adorable little "crate of note cards" for you. This die creates the cutest little crate and the design elements in this stamp set are to die for.
The wood pattern designer paper is also brand new from the 2017-2018 Annual Catalog. To create the crate, you just need to cut 2 pieces with the die and put together, it's quite easy; just fold on the score lines and adhere the tabs to the sides. For the cards, I cut several 3" x 6" pieces of Whisper White card stock and scored and folded at 3". I added a 1/4" strip of the wood grain paper to the bottom of each card to tie them into the crate, stamped the Rooster image from the coordinating stamp set along with the Thanks a Bunch sentiment in Early Espresso ink. I die cut a rooster that I had stamped onto scratch Whisper White and adhered it to the front of the crate with a Stampin' Dimensional. And that completed my project for today. Again,it was quick and simple but just adorable. If you would like a 2017-2018 Annual Catalog, and you don't currently have a demonstrator that you are working with, please feel free to email me and I will get one out to you. It is just full of awesomeness that will be available to order beginning June 1, 2017; however, if you would like to take advantage of the BEST deal EVER, click the link to "join my team" above and you can select $125 of BRAND NEW PRODUCT from this new catalog RIGHT NOW for only $99! There is absolutely no obligation after that, but who wouldn't want to save between 20% and 25% on every order?  That's right, if you continue as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, you will initially save 20% on every order or earn 20% on sales; and if you reach $1800 in sales/purchases within 12 months, you will reach Bronze Elite status and will begin saving 25% on your purchases and earn 25% on sales! Like I said BEST DEAL EVER! So, do some serious thinking on that one! If you have any questions, please reach out, I will do my best to answer them, and anything I can't answer, I will get an answer for you...that's the best part, Stampin' Up! is always there to help!
I hope you enjoyed today's project, please feel free to leave me a comment on your thoughts and what you would like to see here in the coming days. I love hearing from you. In the meantime, happy stamping,
Katrina

Moon Baby

Hello and happy Thursday! Well, I have to tell ya, I am exploding with excitement! Today, my first pre-order from the new catalog arrives! I can not wait to see that brown truck arrive! But, in the meantime, I want to share cards I made with the Moon Baby stamp set. This set is just precious and I am so happy it's carrying over into the new catalog. It works for both boy or girl and is just sweet.
The ribbon I used does happen to be retired. I used my Stampin' Up! watercolor pencils and Blender Pens to color in the images. Blender Pens are my favorite for blending out the color with these pencils. The pencils are so creamy and saturated with color that the Blender Pens just glide over the images.
Quick and easy baby cards! I hope you enjoyed today's cards. Feel free to leave a comment below. Be sure to check out my FB page this evening for a peek into my box when it arrives. I plan to do a FB Live so you can see all the awesomeness. To stop in just go to www.facebook.com/snsfromtheheart
Until next time, happy stamping,
Katrina
