Sweet Treat Holder Featuring We'll Walrus Be Friends

Good morning and Happy Tuesday! I have a really fun little treat holder to share with you today that features my product pick for this week, We'll Walrus Be Friends. I fell in love with this set the minute I saw it in the catalog. I think this little guy is just absolutely ADORBS! I mean, really! Look at his little "fat rolls" and that sweet face! I just love him!
So, this tiny treat holder holds 2 Dove chocolate squares and is just so easy to make! Be sure to check out my video tutorial. But, here you will find all of the measurements you need to recreate this cutie pie!
To start, you will need a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) that measures 2" x 5"(I used Woven Threads). With the 2" edge at the top of your scoring tool, you will score at 1 5/8" then rotate so that the opposite 2" edge is at the top of the scoring tool and score again at 1 5/8". Then, turn to the 5" edge and score at 2" and 3", then you are going to make partial score lines just to the intersecting lines at 1 1/2" and 3 1/2" from both the top and bottom. Now, you will want to trim away the tiny rectangles created by the partial score lines at all 4 corners. Finally, snip up the remaining score lines up to the the intersecting score lines to create tabs.
Next, insert the 2 long ends into the Delightful Tag Topper punch and punch each end. Add adhesive to the tiny tabs and assemble the treat holder. Add your chocolates and run a piece of ribbon through the holes created by the tag punch and tied a piece of Woven Twine around it. Then, I decorated mine with this adorable Walrus from the We'll Walrus Be Friends. I colored him in with my light and dark Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends and then....gasp...I fussy cut him out! Yes, if you know me well at at all, you know how much I hate to fussy cut, but he was pretty easy and I didn't mind at all.
I then stamped my sentiment onto a piece of scrap Whisper White and trimmed it out and bannered one end and added it to the front of my Walrus with a little Snail.
