Paper Pumpkin - Why It's Such an Amazing Deal

Hello and Happy Tuesday! I hope you're off to a great week so far. I'm in the process of getting ready to do some traveling for my full-time job as a Clinical Informaticist. First stop, Kansas City, Missouri...then possibly Washington State, then who knows where? We shall see. Our hospital is looking into a new electronic documentation system as our current system is fairly antiquated and it's time to spruce it up so we are doing some site visits to learn the good the bad and the ugly of our top 3 contenders. So, now just to hope for good travel weather!
Anyhoo, today I wanted to talk to you a little bit about Paper Pumpkin. I feel like Paper Pumpkin gets looked over, maybe because of her humble beginnings? I'm not sure, but what I am sure of, Paper Pumpkin deserves to have the spotlight shown on her just as much as any other Stampin' Up! product.
And what's even more great? There is NO guess work! You don't need to figure out what will coordinate? What paper should I buy? What stamp set should I get? Ok, so which ink color will go? And on and on the questions form. Who needs all that stress? Not to mention, when making all those decisions, it can get pretty pricey to get all the materials you need for your project. But NOT with Paper Pumpkin! Paper Pumpkin is literally an ALL inclusive craft kit! Each month, this adorable little orange box arrives in your mailbox filled with EVERYTHING you need to create that months project. You receive a full color instruction sheet, an EXCLUSIVE stamp set (you can NOT purchase these stamps outside of Paper Pumpkin...EVER!) an ink cube or two that coordinate with the project (colors will NOT repeat in a 12 month rolling calendar - this means you get to collect at least 12 new colors per year) all of the cardstock precut and scored for the project at hand, any Stampin' Dimensionals, glue dots and sticky strip adhesive you may need for the projects along with any embellishments required such as twine, sequins etc. that the project calls for. It's got EVERYTHING! And another very cool feature of Paper Pumpkin...there are a couple of ways to get this awesome little box to your door! First, there is the recurring subscription; this is $19.95/month plus tax (shipping is included) and every month as long as you maintain your subscription, this sweet box will arrive faithfully to your doorstep.
Second, there is the pre-paid subscriptions and we have options here as well. You can choose between a single one month pre-paid subscription (a great way to just check it out) a 3, 6 and 12 month pre-paid subscriptions. Just choose the one that is right for YOU! And here is the BONUS: with a 3, 6 or 12 month pre-paid subscription....you earn Sale-a-bration rewards! OH YEAH! And to sweeten the deal even more, for the 6 and 12 month subscriptions, you save $1 and $2 per month! I mean really? How can you go wrong?
Paper Pumpkin is perfect if you are an avid crafter or a brand new paper crafter. And it makes the perfect gift for those crafty friends and family! Need more convincing? Check out this Year in Review video to see a years worth of Paper Pumpkin!

Sunshine and Rainbows -Another Bundle

Hello and Happy Tuesday! Once again, it's bitter cold here and of course the snow is falling...nothing new here. But, it sure does make hanging out in the craft room a lot of fun, because, well what else could one do on a day like this?
Today, I want to share another fun bundle from the Occasions catalog with you. It's called Sunshin and Rainbows and this is such a fun set with  lot of options built into it, such as you can stamp each color of the rainbow and cut them out or you can do like I did and just cut out the colored cardstock using scraps from my stash to build your rainbow that way. Then there are the individual clouds like the ones I used here and then there is also the large layering border clouds to build a cloudy scene.

Measurements:

Soft Sky Cardstock: 8.5" x 5.5" scored and folded at 4.25"
Elegant Eggplant Cardstock: 2" x 3.25"; scrap for last piece in the rainbow
Whisper White Cardstock: 4" x 2.5"; scraps for the clouds
Scraps of Real Red; Pumpkin Pie; Daffodil Delight; Garden Green; Dapper Denim

Directions:

Stamp the sentiment in the lower right corner of the Whisper White and layer the Elegant Eggplant and Whisper White onto the cardbase with adhesive of choice. Run each piece of the scraps through the Big Shot with the rainbow dies in the order of ROYGBV and adhere them in the same order onto the center of the Whisper White. Cut out 2 clouds and adhere to each end of the rainbow with a Stampin' Dimensional.

I hope you enjoyed this simple card. In spite of piecing each individual color of the rainbow, this card goes together very quickly and was a lot of fun to do. I hope it inspires you to pull your set out and play with it. I would love to see what you do with it and I invite you to join my Facebook page, and share your creations with us. We LOVE to ooh and ahhh over each others creations.

It's National Candy Day!

Happy Saturday and Happy Candy Day! Why yes it is a real day, Google it! No problem, I'll wait while you do...but I promise, it's a real day! I had no idea that there was a national candy day until I had received an email about all of the November happenings such as the usual suspects of Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, you know the rest, but there it was in black and white, National Candy Day...Yes, I did Google it to make sure it was legit, and yep, November 4th is National Candy Day.

So, I decided to celebrate National Candy Day and I have a really cute treat box to share with you.I actually got the idea from Pink Buckaroo. I cut 2 pieces of Real Red cardstock 5" x 4.75" and scored all 4 sides at 0.5" (I used 5 post-it notes as a shim when scoring the second piece to make the top of my box. I then added a piece of DSP from the Quilted Christmas collection cut at 3.75" x 3.5" and adhered to the box top along with a silver Foiled Snowflake. I then wrapped 3 Green Sprigs with the Quilted Christmas Ribbon and adhered them to the box top with a couple of Glue Dots. Finally, I created a tag with a scrap piece of Whisper White and stamped the Sparkle sentiment from the Add a Little Glitz stamp set in Garden Green. (I started with a 2" strip of Whisper White, once I stamped my sentiment, I trimmed along both sides to tighten it up with a final measurement of about 1.75" and I trimmed off the bottom close to the sentiment also)

FYI, Caramel M&M's are theeee BEST! In case you were wondering that is. Well that does it for today. I hope you enjoyed today's post. If you have any questions, please feel free to let me know. I am more than glad to answer them for you. Have a great day and Happy stamping...and enjoy that candy today!

Good Tidings Stampin' Up! Style

Hello and happy Tuesday! I hope you're all doing well. I'm doing the uphill battle with this cold. I have found night time to be worse of course, but we're getting there and now there's hubby that has it to, only his is a man cold! You know the one, the cold that is 10x worse than yours? Yeah, that one. Anyway...I just thank God I have stamping!
Which brings me to today's project! I just love this stamp set. I has so many possibilities but today, I wanted to show you a card that keeps it really simple but still packs a bit of wow with the sentiment serving as the focal point while highlighting some of our beautiful designer series paper. (Right now, through October 31st, Stampin' Up! has several of our DSP on sale Buy 3 Get 1 Free; unfortunately this isn't one of them)

Directions:

Begin with a standard card base of 8." x 5.5" scored and folded at 4.25" and layer with a piece of Old Olive cut 4" x 5.25" run through the Big Shot with the Oh My Stars embossing folder. Then layer a piece of the Merry Little Christmas DSP cut 2.25" x 4" onto a piece of Basic Black cardstock measuring 2.5" x 4". Add another piece of the DSP (I used the flip side of the Old Olive design) cut at 1.75" x 3.25" and adhere at an angle. Finally, stamp the sentiment onto a piece of Whisper White, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Then, for the Holly, stamp the greenery (this is a two step stamp) with Old Olive ink, stamp off for the first layer, then full strength for the second stamp. Then, using Real Red ink, do the same for the berries, as these are also a 2 step stamp. Run this through the Big Shot with the Layering Circles Framelits and add to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.
I hope you enjoyed today's card. If so, please leave a comment and I would love for you to join my mailing list for more fun ideas like this one.
Have an amazing day and Happy Stamping,

Test Tube Spooky Treat Box

Happy Tuesday! I have a cute little treat box to share with you today. I had found these cute little Test Tubes filled with bubbles on Amazon early summer and decided to use these in preparation for an up coming craft fair since I don't currently have candy on hand to fill my Stampin' Up! Treat Tubes.
These are so quick and easy to make but I decided to do a video for you so you could see just how quick these go together.. I hope you enjoy it and that it inspires you to make a bunch of these to pass out to your little ghosts and goblins this Halloween season.

Below, you will find the products used in this project, linked directly to my store if you would like to re-create these adorable little boxes. I also included a link to the Test Tube Bubbles from Amazon because lets face it, who doesn't love bubbles? They can make even the most serious person smile!
Let me know if you try making your own, I would love to hear how it goes. For more ideas and Free Tutorials, join my mailing list.
In the meantime, Happy Stamping,
