Half Full - Illuminated

Hello and Happy Tuesday! Brrrr, our weather has finally turned into typical late Fall weather, lots of rain and lots of chilly air. What's it like in your neighborhood? Well,  this week and this past weekend, I spent getting ready for my annual craft fair for the Delta Lake Kiwanis Club. It's quite a big show, and I typically do pretty well at this one. This year I did try several others with not much luck with them, but I'm hoping this one will make up for the disappointment of the others? We shall see.
One of the items I'm offering this year are the battery operated candles that I found at the Dollar Tree, or DT as it's known in the crafting community...ha....you see, I'm learning my abbreviations! I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks!
Anyway, here is just one sample of the candles that I am making for the event.
I love this stamp set, it's a pretty set, but it mixes in the much needed humor the we need to fill ourselves with in order to get through most days. I did this the same as I did the other candles, I stamped my images onto some white tissue paper, colored in the "wine" using Fresh Fig marker ( the color reminds me of merlot wine) trimmed close to the image and applied it to my candle, covered with waxed paper and heated it with my heat tool. Viola! Cute battery operated candle that's perfect for a kitchen or dinning room! I tried to capture the glow of the flickering light in the photo, however, no matter what I did, I couldn't seem to capture it. But, it's still pretty just know that it's prettier in person, that's all.
