The Count Down Continues with Springtime Foils

Hello and Happy Tuesday! It's actually beginning to look like Spring is going to make an appearance here in CNY! Well, it's about time that's for sure. Anyway, along with Spring coming in, Sale-a-bration is on it's way out! Really, in all seriousness, Sale-a-bration ends Saturday, so if there is anything in that brochure that is on your wishlist's, you need to make your move now. Because, once Sale-a-bration is over, it's gone, never to be seen again (unless you like shopping with unscrupulous sellers on Ebay paying a mint for something you could have gotten for FREE - yeah, I didn't think so)
Anyhoo, today's card focuses on one of my FAVORITE Sale-a-bration offerings, the Springtime Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper. This stuff is just gorgeous and it's a dream to work with. It's smooth, but the foiling is textured. It's just gorgeous. I spent the other night just coloring an entire sheet of this paper while sitting and watching television with my husband and the next day, I cut it down to 4" x 5.25"and created my card. For the layout, I used the sketch challenge over on my Facebook page.
We had a lot of fun with this sketch over there. (Stop over and take a look at all the other fun samples using the sketch...we have some pretty talented folks on my page). To color the paper, I used my Stampin' Blends. These are the perfect markers for this task because the paper is glossy and a bit on the "non-porous side, the alcohol based ink in the Blends allows for good coverage and will actually dry on this paper where as other markers would remain wet and wipe off when you touched the ink. Once I adhered the colored DSP to the card front of Rich Razzleberry cut 5.5" x 8.5"; scored and folded at 4.25", I cut a square from a piece of Bronze Foil paper measuring 2.25" square, cut on the diagonal to create the triangles and ran both pieces through the Petal Pair embossing folder to add texture to them and adhered them to opposing corners of the card front. I then stamped the sentiment from Hold on to Hope stamp set in Rich Razzleberry ink onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock measuring 2" x 3.25"and added the corner design from the same stamp set and adhered the panel onto a piece of Rich Razzleberry that measures 2.25" x 3.5". I popped this piece up on Dimensionals and added it to the center of the card. It was really a simple card to create but it really packs a WOW and this paper really can stand alone without the coloring, I just decided to sit and relax one evening and color....yes, I find coloring relaxing! I hope you enjoyed today's card and it encourages you to do a little coloring. And remember, if you would love to get your hands on this GORGEOUS paper, it's FREE with a $50 purchase and after Saturday, it will be gone forever. Sad, I know, but true so don't wait! Be sure to use the host code on the right side of your screen to receive a FREE gift from me as well. If you're looking to get your hands on some free tutorials, please sign up to receive my weekly newsletter, we have lots to share with you. Sign up here. Now, go pull out some paper, ink and your favorite stamps and I will see you back here Thursday for another Sale-a-bration favorite.
In the meantime, wishing you all an amazing day and Happy Stamping,

A Good Day - Stampin' Style

Happy Tuesday from Kansas City, Missouri! Yes, I'm on a work related trip away from New York on hospital business. Here's a picture of my view for another 24 hours.
I head back home in the morning and I'm looking forward to seeing hubby and my little Tucker dog...I really do miss them.
Any way, I did get a few minutes in my craft room before I left home. I pulled out the new A Good Day stamp set and this is what I came up with.

I started with a standard card base of Whisper White 8.5" x 5.5" scored and folded at 4.25". I then took one of the card bases from the Tutti Fruitti Card collection found in the Sale-a-bration brochure and cut it in half to 4.25" x 5.5". I added a piece of Powder Pink cardstock cut 2.25" x 4.25" and adhered it to the Tutti Fruitti piece. I then wrapped the Basic Gray ribbon from the Sale-a-bration shimmer ribbon and tied it into a bow. I adhered the entire panel to the Whisper White card base and punched out a piece of Powder Pink using the new 1-3/8" scalloped circle punch and stamped the "Just Because" from A Good Day stamp set in Basic Gray Archival ink and punched it out using the 1-1/8" scalloped circle punch and popped it up on a Dimensional. I added a Mini Embroidery Hoop with a couple of mini Glue Dots to finish it off. This made for a quick and easy card and I hope you enjoy it.
Happy Stamping!

The Perfect Time to Join

Hello and Happy Thursday! Did you know Sale-a-bration is the PERFECT time to join the Stampin' Up! family. During Sale-a-bration, in addition to selecting $125 in product of your choice for $99 + free shipping, you get to select 2 additional stamp sets of your choice FREE (valued up to a combined total of $101). After that, you save 20-25% on ALL future orders as long as you remain active.
What constitutes active, you ask? Well, all you need to do is sell/purchase $300/quarter. That comes out to be about $100/month if you break it down into bite sized pieces. Even better, if you are looking for an opportunity to be your own boss, run your own business, Stampin' Up! is perfect for that too! Who wouldn't love to "go to work" and do what you love?
Stampin' Up! is the BEST "job" I've ever had. I get to share my love with others and make them smile, I get to decide how much time I put into MY business and how hard I want to work at MY business etc. I get to decide how to run my customer service, which is TOP NOTCH, I might add. (I am a firm believer in the Golden Rule!)

FAQ's

1. Can you make a living with Stampin' Up! as a Demonstrator? - Yes you can, as long as you're willing to do the work, I know many who do
2. Can being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator help you to support your stamping addiction? Yes it can - it does mine :)

6. What happens if I get the starter kit and then decide I don't want to be a demonstrator? - Nothing. Nothing happens. If you don't place any more orders as a demo and don't meet your quarterly minimum, you will be "dropped" from your demonstrator-ship, with no penalty and no harassment.
7. Are there any other "perks" for being a Demonstrator? - Yes! You will receive the quarterly magazine, Stampin' Success, chock full of design ideas, business training and just plain fun; access to the Stampin' Up! demonstrator website, which contains a plethora of training videos and information too numerous to count; the opportunity to attend On-Stage events (convention) to party and learn with other demos around the world; access to private demonstrator Facebook groups for more opportunities to interact with demos from around the globe; early access to new product before anyone else; and access to the demo only website, Stampin' Connection - it's like a Facebook for demonstrators with lots of sharing and design ideas.

Today, I am featuring the Amazing You stamp set. I absolutely adore this set. This mix of fonts for the sentiments in this stamp set are just amazing.
I pulled my colors from the Designer Series Specialty Paper, Sweet Soirée, from the 2018 Spring Occasions catalog.

Instructions:

Measurements:

Card base: Old Olive 11" x 4.25"
Designer Series Paper: 4" x 5.25"; 2" x 5"
Whisper White: 1" x 4.25"; scraps for the 3 flowers
2.25" Circle Punch

Directions:

Adhere the layers of DSP to the card base with your adhesive of choice. Stamp 2 flower images in Old Olive ink and 1 in Rich Razzleberry. Then, using the light and dark Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends markers, color in all of the flowers. When finished, punch them out with the 2.25" circle punch and arrange them onto the card front, adhere the 2 Old Olive flat to the card and the Rich Razzleberry flower popped up with a Stampin' Dimensional. Finally, stamp the sentiment onto the 1" piece of Whisper White. I uses Rich Razzleberry for "Celebrate" and Old Olive for "You" and adhere that flat to the card, again with your adhesive of choice.
