More Fun with Birthday Cheer

Hello and Happy Thursday my friends! I'm so glad you stopped by to hang out, I have a really cute card to share with you from our Facebook Live Sunday night. I am so in love with this fun birthday bundle, Birthday Cheer! I have been having so much fun playing with it, and I know you will too.
This fun card features the fun Joy Fold layout using lots of fun bright colors. I love the Joy Fold because it's like having a card inside of a card and provides a lot of opportunity with designs and layouts. But in this case, I really kept it pretty simple and just added a decorative cupcake border on the inside using the cupcake edgelit die from the coordinating thinlits. They're just too cute. This set contains a couple of edgelits, the cupcakes as well as the birthday gifts, which you could actually make Christmas gifts from during the holidays! I love being able to stretch my stamps and dies beyond the intended use and this set will absolutely let you do that. I mean really? Who doesn't love extra value added to their purchases?

I used bright cheery colors that I pulled from the fun designer series paper, How Sweet It Is also found in the Occasions Catalog. I am so loving the bright colors in this paper and they are PERFECT for making birthday cards. For the card base, I used Gorgeous Grape and for the insert "base", I used the bright and sunny Pineapple Punch. And to color my party hat, I used my Stampin' Blends markers in Flirty Flamingo and Highland Heather - easy peasy! And for the sentiment, I stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Whisper White and die cut it using the largest stitched square from the Stitched Shapes Framelit Dies. For measurements, please refer to my FB Live video found here.
I hope you enjoyed today's card, and if you decide to give it a try, be sure to share your results, I would love to see! Again, thanks so much for stopping in to hang out with me.
Happy Stamping.

Birthday Cheer Pop Up Card

Hello and good morning! I'm so glad you could join me today! I have a really fun card to share with you. I saw Ronda Wade create a pop up card like this last week and I knew I had to give it a try using the Birthday Cheer bundle. I just love this bundle as it is the PERFECT birthday set as just looking at it invokes a smile and a feeling of fun and excitement....all those feelings a birthday should create.
The Designer Series Paper is from the How Sweet It Is collection found in the 2019 Occasions catalog. I love the bright colors in this paper along with the sweet, fun designs. Here my colors are Coastal Cabana, Mellon Mambo and Whisper White; but what makes this card so special is the inside. When the recipient opens this card, they are greeted with a sweet and unexpected surprise! Upon opening this fun card, 4 sweet cupcakes pop out! To color these sweet cupcakes, I used my Blender pens and ink pads then added some clear Wink of Stella for a little shimmer and shine. I love that stuff and can never get enough of it.
If you would like to view the dimensions and watch as I make this card, just watch the replay of my live video at http://bit.ly/2EgQYdr.
Oh, and while I'm thinking of it, Stampin' Up! has added a few more items to Sale-a-bration, you can check those out here in the newly released flyer @  http://bit.ly/2DQnSQx

Well, that's all for today. Have a terrific Tuesday my friends, until next time, Happy Stamping,

Geared Up Garage with a Valentine Twist

Hello and good evening! I hope your Thursday was full of blessings beyond measure! Thanks for stopping by my blog this evening, I have some fun stuff to share with you in case you happened to miss out on our Facebook Live this past Sunday.
I am totally in love with the Geared Up Garage suite of product! This essentially masculine set can take on a feminine feel as well just by changing up colors and DSP; like in this card here:
Here, I colored the car with the Balmy Blue Stampin' Blends, using both the light and dark markers. I used the sentiment from the Meant to Be stamp set and for the "exhaust", I created a template using the swirly scribbles die, using the negative space (be sure to check out the video) and  Shimmery White embossing paste that I colored using Lovely Lipstick re-inker and "pipped" onto my template.
This was a quick and easy card to make in spite of mixing and pipping embossing paste, and it was a lot of fun to make too.
Then, there is this fun card, that could be masculine as well as feminine in Lovely Lipstick.
I colored the car using the Lovely Lipstick Stampin' Blends duo and die cut it out using the coordinating die. I stamped the "floating hearts" from the Forever Lovely stamp set in Lovely Lipstick ink onto a piece of Whisper White die cut with the largest oval from the Stitched Shapes dies. I stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a piece of Whisper White and punched it out using the 1 1/4" circle punch and layered everything onto a Lovely Lipstick card base with a piece of DSP from the All My Love designer series paper, cut 2" x 5 1/2". And to complete the look, I stamped the floating hearts onto a Whisper White medium envelope.
Finally, I made a very masculine Valentine note card. Here, I started with one of our Whisper White note cards. These are awesome because they are pre-cut and scored and come with the envelopes all in one package, ready to decorate and stamp. I then cut a piece of the Classic Garage 6" x 6" DSP to 4 3/4" x 3 1/4" and adhered it down with a second piece of the DSP in Crushed Curry, 4 3/4" x 1". I wrapped a piece of the Black and Silver Metallic ribbon around and tied a knot.
Then, I inked up the large gear die from the coordinating Garage Gears Thinlit Dies with Shaded Spruce ink and ran it through the Big Shot with Shaded Spruce cardstock that was backed with an adhesive sheet. This added a lot of extra detail to the die cut gears that you would otherwise not have. Finally, I wanted this to be a Valentine but the stamp was "Happy Fathers Day" and I loved the stamp. So, using my Basic Gray Stampin' Write marker, I inked up just the frame, leaving the sentiment un-inked, huffed and stamped the image onto Gray Granite cardstock. I then inked up the Happy Valentine sentiment from the Meant to Be stamp set in Basic Gray and stamped it in the center of the frame. I then die cut it with the coordinating die in the Garage Gears Thinlit Dies and popped it up on Stampin' Dimensionals.
So, there you have it, 3 cards all made with the Geared Up Garage suite with a Valentine twist to them all. I hope this inspired you to take a look at your other favorite stamp sets and see how you might put a twist on them to stretch them beyond their "intended" purpose.
Happy Stamping,
