Spirited Snowmen - Fun and Festive

Good Morning and TGIF! Wow, is it me or did November just fly by? It's been a bit of a whirl wind that's for sure. My trip to sunny Orlando just a few short weeks ago, on one hand seems like a life time ago, but on the other seems like it was just a couple of days ago. I know with this current non-stop snow we're getting here in the Northeast, I'm REALLY wishing I was back in sunny Orlando that's for sure!

Anyhoo, with the end of November here, so is the end of the gorgeous Snowflake Showcase suite of product! The gorgeous White Velveteen Sheets are already sold out, but at this movement everything else is still available, but it all goes away forever after midnight MT tonight! So, if you've been wanting it and holding off, now is NOT the time to hold off. Just sayin'.

Well today I have a cute card to share with you that I did for my tutorial co-op that I belong to with a group of other demonstrators. It's great, we each create one project and write up a tutorial then we have access to all of the tutorials to share with our customers and readers. It's a great time saver that's for sure. But anyhoo, this is the one I shared with the group and it's using the adorable, Spirited Snowmen stamp set. And recently, someone very observant pointed out that this stamp set is NOT Christmas specific and can be used ALL winter season! And that is SO true. None of the sentiments are specific to Christmas! And just by changing up the colors you could easily make this a Birthday card or any other winter occasions card....I'm even thinking Anniversary with the snow couple in this set! Yes, my 25th wedding anniversary is coming up December 18th, soooooo, we'll see! If I do choose this set, I will be sure to share the results with you. But anyway, I veered off topic here, so let's get to today's card.
Now isn't this little skater adorable? I just love him. Anyhoo, to recreate this card, you do need a few things, I started with a card base of Old Olive measuring 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored and folded at 4 1/4". I layered a piece of DSP from the Mistletoe collection found in the Annual catalog that measures 4" x 5 1/4". I then cut a piece of Whisper White 3" x 4" and stamped the snowman and the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored him in with my Stampin' Blends Markers The colors that I used are the Dark Crumbcake, Dark Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive Light and Dark, Real Red Light and Dark and Dark Smokey Slate. I then added a 1 1/2" x 4" piece of Real Red cardstock and tore the left edge off and attached to the left side of the Whisper White and added it to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I hope today's card warmed you up. And remember, today is the last day to grab those beautiful snowflakes.

Happy Stamping,

Timeless Tidings With a Twist

Hello and Happy Thursday my friends! Thank you so much for stopping by my blog this morning. I have a fun project I want to share with you using the Timeless Tidings stamp set. It's a fun fold that has been around for a long time that seems to have faded off the card making radar and I thought this was a great time to resurrect it. It's called a Twist and Fold card and it's so easy to make.
To recreate this card, all you need is a half sheet of cardstock measuring 4 1/4" x 11" scored on the diagonal from one corner to the opposite corner and fold. Use your bone folder to make a nice crease. Then, where the "natural v" shape forms, score and fold in the center of the "v". This creates the shape of the card. I then cut a piece of Festive Farmhouse DSP 4" x 10 1/2" and instead of scoring and folding, I cut it on the diagonal then turned it onto itself as though I were going to fold it up (just like I did for the card base) and where the natural "v" formed, I cut it in the center.
I then attached each of the pieces to the coordinating angles on the card base using Snail adhesive. I then stamped the sentiment from Timeless Tidings, in Cherry Cobbler ink onto some scrap Whisper White and punched it out using the Pretty Label punch. I punched out a circle from a scrap piece of Grey Granite using the 1 3/4" Circle punch and attached the sentiment and added it to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals. I then tied a double bow using the Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine from the Festive Farmhouse Collection and attached it to the card using a Mini Glue Dot. The folds of this card create a pocket on the front of the card and on the inside, perfect for a gift card or money

I hope you enjoyed today's card share and I again thank you for stopping by, your support means the world to me.

Online Extravaganza

Hello my friends! I pray you all had an amazing Thanksgiving with family and friends! Hubby had his first Thanksgiving off in 7 years. Unfortunately, correction officers don't automatically get holiday's off, they pretty much have to fall on their normal scheduled day off in order to get them off. I guess those are the breaks, right? Anyway, we had a really nice dinner here at home, just him, Tucker and myself. Normally after dinner clean up, we put up our Christmas tree, but this year I seem to be procrastinating. Anyone else "not feeling it"?

Anyhoo, Stampin' Up! is running the annual Online Extravaganza and we're in the final hours. Today and tomorrow, you can save 10% on ink and tools! This includes, acrylic blocks, markers, ink refills, stamp cases, my favorite tool the paper piercing tool (aka the "pokey tool") and many other tools. (The Big Shot and the Stamparatus are NOT part of this sale)- sad, I know. So, if you have had any ink pad or refills on your wishlist, now is the time to pick them up. Need some extra blocks? Grab a few of those while you're at it. Click here to check out the sale.

Be sure to stop by Thursday for a fun card idea with a little bit of a twist! In the meantime, have a great evening and happy stamping,

Falling For Leaves Joy Fold Card

Wow, Wow, and Wow again! This was my very first OnStage Live and I have to say, it exceeded my expectations. If you have ever thought about becoming a demonstrator, this alone is reason enough!  But for now, I have a fun project to share with you, using a fun fold, called the Joy Fold. I love cards that use this fold, it's kind of like having a card in a card.

And I LOVE these colors together! I think this is my new Fall favorite combo! What's yours? The colors I used here are Merry Merlot, Old Olive and Crushed Curry and Very Vanilla.

Stampin' Up! introduced a couple of Craft and Carry Bags, the Craft and Carry Stamparatus bag and the Craft and Carry Tote. The tote is a limited edition that is exclusive to demonstrators only. It will be available during Sale-a-bration for new demonstrators only that choose that as part of their starter kit. But, we current demonstrators are able to purchase this now and if you love it as much as I do, and want it now, just join my team today and you can add it to your starter kit NOW! Wowsers! Seriously, I would just join now and get it myself because I would be afraid that if I waited, they will be gone before I had a chance to sign up. But that's just me.
If you would like to chat about joining my team, contact me, I would love to talk to you about it,
