Christmas in the Making

Happy Sunday! I hope you're all enjoying a quiet Sunday with family and friends. Tucker and I are enjoying a quiet afternoon. Unfortunately, had to send hubby off to work this afternoon so it's just us. But, on a positive note, the laundry is all caught up, the house looks pretty spiffy and is ready for the Christmas decorating to commence. I think this evening I'll start putting the smaller things out, then later in the week when hubby has some time off, we'll pull out the tree. The other positive is, I get to spend a little time in my craft room! I also got an early Christmas gift, a new PC. My desktop computer just died a few weeks ago leaving me with only my laptop to work with, which don't get me wrong, I am grateful to have, but Holy slowness! Anyhoo, I now have a new desktop that I have been doing the windows updates, downloading antivirus and all that good stuff. Oh, and learned that Microsoft retired Windows Movie Maker! Rut Ro...that is what I use for video editing! So, either I learn to use something else, or use the laptop and accept the fact that it will take 24-36 hours to upload tutorials...hmmmm?
Anyway, enough rambling. I want to share a cute card I did for the challenge on my FB page using the awesome stamp set, Christmas in the Making.
I love the softness of these non-traditional Christmas colors. For the card base, I used Soft Sky measuring 8.5" x 5.5" folded in half. I layered it with a piece of the DSP from the Christmas Around the World collection cut 4" x 5.25" and wrapped with a piece of White Classic Weave Ribbon and tied into a bow. I then cut 3 circles with the second largest Stitched Shapes circle framelit from Soft Sky, Whisper White and Basic Gray. Finally, I cut a second piece of Whisper White using the second smallest stitched circle and stamped the sentiment, from the Christmas in the Making stamp set, in Basic Gray ink.
Quick and simple. I hope you enjoyed today's card. Feel free to leave a comment below, I would love to read your thoughts.
