Heartfelt Blooms Times 2

Hello and Happy News Years Eve! It's brutally cold here in CNY so I for one am staying in and close to the fire. Hubby has to work..he should make it home before the "ball" drops in Time Square, so if I can keep my eyes open, we can ring in the New Year together anyway. In the meantime, I have a couple of cards using the new Sale-a-bration stamp set, Heartfelt Blooms with you. I can't decide which I like better? Which do you prefer?
Card #1 in the photo is done with sponge daubers and Calypso Coral and Old Olive ink pads. Card #2 is Smoky Slate ink. Cards #1 uses a standard card base of Whisper White 11" x 4.25" scored and folded at 5.5" creating a top folding card, Card #2 uses Smoky Slate cut and scored the same. Both have a layer of Calypso Coral cut 4" x 5.25" and a piece of Petal Garden DSP cut for card #1 1" x 4" and Card #2 .75" x 4". For the stamped images on both cards, the Whisper White is cut 3.25" x 3.5"
I hope you enjoyed today's cards. Let me know which you prefer. Card #1 or Card #2? I would love to hear.
Happy Stamping,
Katrina

Heartfelt Blooms - A Peek into Sale-a-bration

Hello and Merry Christmas from my family to yours! I pray that you are as blessed as I am. Today, I want to give you a peek into the Sale-a-bration catalog, with the Heartfelt Blooms stamp set.
I love the watercolor look of this image with it's monochromatic coloring with light and dark variations in the stamp, it makes it an easy stamp to work with. Here I used Dapper Denim as my ink and layering piece of cardstock between the Whisper White card base and stamped layer.
This stamp set will be available January 3rd, free with a $50 order. I'm going to play some more with this to see what other great techniques can be done with this set. In the meantime, I wish you all a VERY Merry Christmas!

RemARKably Created Blog Hop - Spring Catalog Sneak Peek

Welcome back if you stopped by earlier for the Remarkable Ink Big Blog Hop. Now we are hopping along with the Remarkable Creative Blog Tour! I'm so glad you could join me! Our December theme is Spring Catalog Sneak Peek and I'm using a brand new Sale-a-Bration stamp set that will be available free with a $50 order come January 3rd! You may be just getting started here at my blog, Katrina's Kreative Heart, with me, Katrina Wolfe, or you may have come from the person before me in the list. Either way, if you get off track at any time, just follow the line up below to move from blog to blog so you won't miss any of the amazing projects along the way. Remember, at the moment, you are visiting, Katrina Wolfe at Katrina's Kreative Heart.

For today's hop, I chose to use an adorable set found in the up coming Sale-a-Brations's catalog, Party Pandas. I fell in love with this set on first sight ad couldn't wait to get my hands on it.
For this card, I started with a standard Basic Black card base, 8.5" x 5.5" scored and folded at 4.25". I added a panel of Real Red 4" x 5.25" followed by a piece of Whisper White cut 2.5" x 3.75" and stamped the Happy Birthday Sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I then added a strip of Silver Foil paper cut .5" x 5.25" and adhered that down over the left edge of the Whisper White panel. I then stamped each of the Pandas onto Whisper White and fussy cut each of them out. I colored the balloon with the Real Red Stampin' Write marker and added a bit of clear Wink of Stella and colored the little heart on the first Panda's letter with the Real Red Stampin' Write marker. I adhered the Pandas with Stampin' Dimensionals.
This was a quick and easy card minus the time it took to fussy cut the Pandas. I hope you enjoying the blog hop and are finding lots of inspiration to get you excited for all the great products to come.

The Remarkable Ink Big Blog Hop - Sneak Peek

Happy Sunday and welcome to the Remarkable Ink Big Blog Hop for December 2017. Our theme is Sneak Peek into the 2018 Occasions and Sale-a-bration catalogs.  I am so glad you could join me today. You may be just starting here at my blog, Katrina's Kreative Heart, with me, Katrina Wolfe, or you may have come from the person before me in the list. Either way, if you get off track at any time, the full lineup is below and will help you move along from blog to blog so that you won't miss any of the amazing projects along the way. At the moment, you are visiting, Katrina Wolfe at Katrina's Kreative Heart and I hope you enjoy your time here.
Today, I'm sharing with you a sweet suite of product from the 2018 Occasions catalog know as the Sweet Soirée Suite and the focal point of this suite is the stamp and die bundle, Cake Soirée bundle.
The designer series paper that coordinates with this sweet, Sweet Soiré Specialty Designer Series Paper truly shines here, (no pun intended) with all of the silver foiled accents. Each double sided piece in this collection is just gorgeous with one side having the foiled accents while the other side is just brilliant, beautiful hand-painted prints.

In the card above,I began with a gatefold card base and I used the foiled Calypso Coral DSP for the "gates". I cut the cake plate from Silver Foil paper and the cake is stamped and cut using the coordinating die. To color the image, I used the Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends along with the Old Olive.  I layered a panel of Silver Foil paper onto a panel of Calypso Coral followed by a panel of Whisper White and added to the left front panel. I adhered the cake onto the plate and popped them onto the front of the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed today's card. I would love to hear your thoughts. In the meantime, be sure to continue following along the hop for lots more amazing ideas and inspiration from the new catalog coming to you January 3rd 2018! Just use the line up below to continue along the hop. If you would like to know about happenings with Katrina's Kreative Heart and Stampin' Up! be sure to join my newsletter here

Stampin' Up!'s Merry Little Labels

Hello and Happy Thursday! Well, it's beginning to look like Christmas around here. Over the last several days we got clobbered with several inches of snow, actually more like a couple of feet of it. But I guess that's to be expected when one lives in this part of NY State.
Anyway, I have a cute card to share with you that I will be doing with my card class this evening. I hope everyone likes it. It's cute but quick and simple.
e

Supplies and Measurements:

Merry Little Labels Stamp Set
Whisper White Cardstock: 8.5" x 5.5" scored and folded at 4.25"; scrap for stamped image
Christmas Around the World DSP: 2" x 5.5"
Foil Snowflake: Cut in half
Memento Tuxedo Black ink
Every Day Label Punch
Fast Fuse
Stampin' Dimensionals

Directions:

Adhere the DSP to the card base using Fast Fuse or other adhesive of choice. Cut a Foil Snowflake in half and adhere over the DSP, lining up the cut edge with the edge of the DSP. Stamp the image from the Merry Little Labels stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and punch it out with the coordinating Everyday Label punch and adhere it to the card with a couple of Dimensionals.

I love this Designer Paper. I find it warm and inviting and just has a cozy feel to it. And it's currently still available, but for how long is anyone's guess. We are nearing the end of the Holiday catalog and everything is "while supplies last" right now except stamp set. Stamp sets will be in production until December 21st, then they too will be "while supplies last". So, if you want to get your hands on the gorgeous paper, don't wait. Just click the link below to grab this paper and stamp set.

Have a great day and stay warm. If you would like to receive my newsletter, click here to sign up.
